RISE AND SHINE!

cannot be seen or even touched...
they must be felt with the heart.

Enjoying the Afternoon

A cup of  Bigelow  Cozy Chamomile tea and egg shaped cookies are great for an afternoon tea break.

My cute little baby bunny is joining me.  I always save some cuttings of my "Wondering Jews" every year, and it is doing good, in a few days I'll plant it in a hanging basket.  The weather is still in the 30's at night so I'll wait awhile.

I think baby bunny is "eyeing" my tea.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

It's HERE the first day of Spring!  Oh but it's going to turn colder tonight, and more rain, that doesn't sound like the spring I've been waiting on.  Oh well, be thankful for it anyway, God sends us what we need and He knows best.

Yesterday, hubby and I went for a ride in the countryside and ended up in Pine Mountain, a small town not far away.  I love to shop the stores there.  It's one of my favorites towns.  We had brunch at the Cafe and Bakery @ The Rose Cottage.

It is really nice inside.  My hubby usually doesn't go with me to tearooms, but there  is a new owner since he was there and they changed the name to Cafe at the Rose Cottage so he doesn't mind as much, also it helped that there was another man and woman at the next table.

Quiche and veggie soup was my choice and it was good.

The bathroom has to be one of the prettiest I've ever seen!
Can you see the ceiling above the chandelier?

Don't know who the lady is in the picture, guess she's watching over the Ladies Room.

ENJOY SPRING AND MAY YOU BE BLESSED!

Waiting on Spring

I am so ready to see the flowers and trees start blooming in the spring, so I decided to look at photo's I took in the years past.  This first one I took when a friend of mine and I took a trip to Hogansville a few years ago. I love these old towns that are filled with beauty and charm.  Isn't this a beautiful sidewalk!

This one is my sisters back yard.  She has two green thumbs.

My basket of Petunia's last summer.

I love Hosta's, these are last years in the flower bed in front of my house.

I planted pansies in my flower boxes this week.  I see I have a lot of cleaning out to do in my flower beds before the Hosta's come up.

Milo had to come check out my work...how did I do Milo?

The daffodils are blooming in the back flower bed.

The Fire Power Nandina was so bright this year.

The Rosemary is so pretty in purple.  Smells good too.

The Red Birds are back, there was a male and female in this pecan tree, when I was planting the pansies,
but when I came back from getting my camera, one had flown away.  If you look close in the red circle you can see it.

This is the Red Bird last year. I want to think it's the same ones.   They seem to come when I am on the front porch, it makes me feel like they are saying "Spring is coming".

Thanks for listening to my ramblings,

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

PEACHES TO THE BEACHES

Every year on the second weekend of March there is a  yard sale that starts about 30 minutes from my home and goes all the way down HWY 341 to Brunswick,Georgia. It is called "Peaches to the Beaches" .   Each year we try to go as far as we can, this pass Friday we went to 5 towns which was around 100 miles one way.  I found a few pieces to add to my collection.

This lead crystal pitcher caught my eye and of course it came home with me. It didn't show up too good in the college above so thought I'd show it by itself.  The cup and saucer was stamped "INTRADA   made in Italy".  The small plate goes good with my collection of red roses dishes, of course I just love roses and what woman doesn't.  The lamp was a great fine and looks great in my guest bedroom. The best  of all I only paid $13.00 for everything!

This is the town of  Perry, one of the stops on our trip.

Since we were going to be gone all day we took Madi with us, she loves to ride and she is happy as long as she's with us. I put her pillow she sleeps on when we go off behind the seat of the truck and off we went.

I am thankful that the weather is warming up so we can get out more.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
