Hot Tea Month

Did you know there's a Day or Month to honor
just about anything. Yes, I looked it up!

January is Hot Tea Month!

"Thank God for Tea! What would the world do
without tea? How did it exist? I am glad I was not
born before Tea" Reverend Sidney Smith

I have been trying new recipes lately. Do you ever get tired of
making the 'same ole stuff' !

I found a recipe for Buffalo Style Chicken Bites, in the 'Diabetes & You' magazine I picked up at my local Walgreen's. I don't have diabetes that I know of, but it's a good diet to use if you want to lose weight and it has other health benefits too.
I won't put the recipe on here since it's so long. If you want it just email me and I will send it to you.

It had a good dressing recipe, to dip the chicken bites in.

To celebrate Hot Tea Month, I tried a new Tea. It's a Red Fruit Rooibos Tea.  It's really good. It is an organic, No GMO, Gluten Free and all Natural Tea. (I read that on the box) I really like it.
 I love trying new teas.
I am really enjoying my Burton&Burton tea set I bought a few
years ago.

And what tea or afternoon snack isn't complete without dessert!
Vanilla Pudding in a tart shell, topped with Redi Whip!

At my table sit with me
I'll pour coffee or some tea;
Perhaps we'll share our tears and laughter,
And be friends forever after.

Friendship is like two clocks
keeping time.

Your Burton and Burton tea set is lovely. I try to buy organic/fair trade/non GMO teas now. Just seems better for me and the environment! Buffalo chicken bites sounds good! Happy Tea Day!

How neat!! Hot Tea Month. I love tea - so many different kinds. I have never tried rooibos tea but have heard of it often. I have some favorites that a British friend sent me from England. Enjoy your tea and pastry.

Good morning Sylvia,
Your teapot and matching teacup are very pretty. I love roses, especially pink, and the gold trim makes the set look very rich. I like trying a new tea myself and and I'm always happy when I find one I really like. Your buffalo bites and dip sound yummy. Thank you, my friend, for joining me for tea and helping me to celebrate. Have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

That is a beautiful tablescape, I would love to sit there and have tea or coffee with you. Is it okay to drink coffee from a beautiful tea cup? :-) The sun is shining in my part of the world today, feels so good after so much rain. Hope your day is happy and blessed!

What a beautiful post! I loved it all. I love hot tea. I'm a prolific tea drinker! My favourite tea is Tetley Orange Pekoe, or Red Rose Orange Pekoe. My sister gave me a mango tea for Christmas...it's delicious too.

I'd love to come to your house for tea....but I'd probably break one of your beautiful cups. I seldom try new teas....I'm just a simple, plain tea drinker. Thanks for your prayers and kind words.

Just lovely. It's great to see the set actually in use. I have been enjoying a lot of tea lately, loving some and hating others, but that is the fun of finding what you like...the journey. A personal favorite is Blackberry Sage from The Republic of tea, sweetened with local honey.
Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.

I know this will probably be hard to understand but I only like cold tea, I have tried a few different kinds of hot teas, and just don't care for it, I also don't like coffee either, it always looks good though

I also enjoy drinking rooibos, particularly in the afternoon and evening because it's caffeine-free.

Your photos are lovely. I am a *BIG* tea fan and am usually sipping on a cup (or travel mug) all day long. My two current favorites are Green tea with lemon from Bigalow and Apple Cinnamon from Celestial Seasonings. I'll have to be on the look out for the Red fruit tea, sound interesting

I didn't realize that January is hot tea month! Discovering it on the last day of the month is a little disconcerting but I decided to put it in the January section of one of my Simple Abundance book for next year. I will enjoy thinking about how to celebrate that next year. Your Burton and Burton tea set is very lovely and your photos are beautiful. Have a wonderful day!
