Fall leaves

One of Life's pleasures that I enjoy is the beauty that each season brings. Fall leaves is one of such beauty!
So Wednesday my hubby and I drove over to Pine Mountain again to see if the leaves were in their usual fall colors.

This is what we saw. The leaves were turning brown and falling!
I do Love the winding roads, they bring back childhood memories.

Although there's beauty there, it isn't like it is normally. These are photo's on top of Dowdell's Knob atop Pine Mountain.

Back home on our street!
We do have some trees that are changing. I think the dry weather has hindered their color this year.

I'm joining Deb at Breathing In Grace for Friday Foto Friends. Want you hop over and join the party!

Have a Blessed Fall Day!
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia, It's been a long time since I've visited Pine Mountain. Our leaves are not especially colorful here in n. GA either. It has been a dry summer. Always nice to get out in the afternoon and take a drive. In my family, we have always made an annual trip to an apple house in fall.

How nice to get away on a pretty drive, Sylvia. I enjoyed seeing your pretty pictures. We are finally enjoying some cooler temperatures here in Texas, but no color change yet!

Sylvia, This year we have more yellow in our trees than ever....they usually turn brown and the leaves fall. Not enough maples in this area. :):) Wishing you a joyous weekend, xoxo, Susie

What beautiful photos and what an enjoyable thing for you and your husband to do. Next year I am going to do my best to make a fall trip up north happen. Have a great weekend.

The pics of the winding road - sure makes me want to hop in the car and go for a drive.

I have been itching to travel, we always take vacation in the fall but haven't been able to- daughter's wedding, house painted, brand new car, new grand-daughter, and getting a new roof next week - some new furniture pieces.....just no extra "fun" cash. But that doesn't stop me wanting to get away! Maybe because I work from home, there are days I never leave the house.

Today is cold and raining and I think I may light a fire if the wind stops. Good day for sipping a cuppa and reading. (What I should be doing is cleaning my closet and purging!)

Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and love. ♥

The trees are so pretty, all dressed up in their fall colors. As I was looking at your pictures I started singing this song...Country roads take me home, to the place I belong....now I'll be singing/humming it all day! Enjoyed my visit, hope you're having a great day!! ((hugs))

Such a lovely country ride. I know some years the leaves are not as colorful as others, but they are still beautiful. I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy them before they all fell! Praying your fall will continue to be a beautiful season, in every way--every day!

It looks like it was a beautiful drive. On my last weeks drive across the country, I noticed that in MO. the leaves were brown and falling.. I hope you're enjoying your fall. It's cool here in the AZ Mountains and the aspens are changing. Thank you for sharing.

I agree....the dry weather has really hindered the fall colors in our neck of the woods, too. We already have a couple of big trees in the yard that are "naked". :( I'd love to take a drive through Cades Cove and see what the leaves look like up that way, but I'm thinking we'd better wait until a weekday...not on the weekend! HOPE you had a great little time away. Thanks for sharing....have a great weekend.
