Found this poem on Facebook, and wanted to share it, it really touches my heart every time I read it. The author is unknown but it could be said by most of us.
I can't go back but I can start today, by being more caring and showing more love to those around me.
"God cares for you"
1 Peter 5:7
Hope you are having a Great Day,
be Blessed!
Sylvia

ReplyDeleteThis poem says exactly what I feel, especially on those melancholy days when I reflect back to my childhood. So very sweet and true! Thanks for sharing it, Sylvia...and love the new look to your blog!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem Sylvia, it also touched my heart. I had a great childhood, it would be nice to go back for a visit. Precious memories, how they linger....
ReplyDeleteSylvia, I truly enjoyed this poem. I know there's been many a day where I have wished to go back in time. One more hug, one more kiss, one more I love you mom and dad. I am sending this to all my family members. Blessings to you dear, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteWhat special sentiments in this poem. I often wish I could once more sit in my grandmother's kitchen with her.

ReplyDeleteI also like your new tea-themed header!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful poem! If only we could turn back time even for just a minute. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteOh Sylvia, what a dear, sweet poem you've shared! We all need to take that one into our hearts, don't we? Thank you for putting it on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty header. I usually visit from my phone and sometimes don't get to see the pretties on a blog. What a wonderful poem. I'd love to go back for just a bit to my childhood, but only because my Daddy was there....not a lot of happy memories from back then, except for the summers at my Mamaw's. A story for another day. And, there's God reminding me again to take life one day at a time....enjoy TODAY!
ReplyDeleteOh so very true. How I've longed for just a few moments to have just one more conversation with my parents.
ReplyDeleteSuch wisdom in that poem. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI should make a copy of it and take it out when I think I'm having a "bad" day over minor issues. It puts things in perspective.
... wise words in this poem.... we can't go back so make TODAY count. If we could go back , I wouldn't be able to choose which moment to to return to anyway.
