Here we sit waiting for the first Winter Storm of ice, sleet and/or Snow. Praying we don't get a lot of either!
When coming in the other day from town, as I was walking up to the door, I noticed this flower blooming! Can anyone tell me it's name? I should know but I can't think of it, guess that's what happens when you get 0ld up in age.
It's so pretty and white! It deserves a name.

So delicate and pretty! Is that a Narcissus? It's kin to a daffodil! I hope the weather doesn't destroy it! Seems very early for them to be blooming!
ReplyDeleteI believe it is a Narcissus..and it's beautiful. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks like one of the Narcissus family. Here we call them 'Paper Whites'.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a little like a star of Bethlehem, but I'm not sure. Whatever it is, isn't it blooming early?!?!? Bless it's little heart, it's gonna get frozen. I jaunted to the mailbox and now I'm freezing. We're supposed to get snow, too...but it's not happened yet! Thanks for linking up today, sweet Lady. HOPE you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about flowers, but that sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Narcissus family. I bet it smells good! We had sleet/snow earlier. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower! I hops the cold and snow doesn't destroy its beauty.
ReplyDeleteWe got a lot of snow and these frigid temps are not fun! Stay safe and warm!
Have a delightful weekend, my friend!
Hugs, Amy

ReplyDeleteNarcissus or Paperwhite is what its called. They are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteA lovely flower that looks like it should be heralding spring, not snow, sleet and hail

It looks like a daffodil of some sort to me, Sylvia. Whatever it is it is pretty and there is not ONE GREEN THING here anywhere. lol Lucky girl! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue what type of flower it is, but the majority says narcissus!! It sure is pretty, hope it survives the forecasted snow!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's early! We won't see one until late Feb./early March.
ReplyDeleteWhatever its name, it sure is pretty and determined to bloom! I hope you didn't get too much snow in your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteAaaah, what a sweet paper white! Love it.
