JUST BECAUSE.....ROSES AND BLESSINGS

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good!
PSALM 107:1

Happiness is all around....

It is in the morning's sunshine

And the evening's quiet hours.

It's in all that's  bright and beautiful~
In rainbows, fields and flowers..

It's in warm and tender moments
And in special feelings, too~~
All the simple, little joys
we gather all life through.

This morning my hubby bought me a dozen pink roses.
" Just Because!"
He's such a keeper.  In all our years (50)  of marriage, with
our ups and downs, he has always been there to make me
Happy!

I do have to be careful what I say I want, because he will try
his best to get it.

WISHING YOU ALL A BLESSED AND HAPPY
WEEKEND!

Friends and Tea go together!

A friend gave me this photo and the Vintage Teacup beside it, for my birthday one year. She's also my daughter's Mother in Law. She's a special friend to me and treats my daughter like she was her own.

A friend is some one special in your life, one that you can always count on.

Is it Spring Yet!

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it"
Psalm 118:24

I was rejoicing this morning when I went outside.  There to my surprise I saw these pretty daffodil's blooming among all the dead plants in the flower bed.  I was so happy to see them, after the snow and all the ice last week.  Just maybe spring is here, I am rejoicing, praying it will last.  It is 72 degrees this afternoon.

Look what else I found amongst the flower pots. Oh yes, Mr.Milo, he has taken to this pot for some unknown reason. Some days he will lay in it all afternon, what is he going to do when I plant flowers in it. Well that's why the rabbit, candle stand and the small bird feeder that's under him is in it. They didn't do a good job keeping him out last summer.

Silly cat, maybe he just likes the company of the one eared rabbit.

Have a Blessed Day and May you find Joy in it!

Winter Ice Storm

Well here we are again, a couple weeks ago I did a post on Georgia's Snow Storm.  Now for the last couple of days we have been in an Ice Storm.  I woke up this morning with a beautiful winter scene.  I ventured out early, around 7 A.M., to take some photo's.

This is ice on the Pine tree. I captured a falling snowflake on the left.

Yes it was early.  This is snow falling.

This is the snow from a couple weeks ago.

This is ice in the birdbath. Poor birds can't get there water. There are lots of birds in the trees in my yard.

I used to have a black roof.

All this is ice, we didn't get much snow where I live south of Atlanta.

I put my hand behind the ice so you can see it isn't melting and I'm touching it.

Looking forward to Spring, I'm told it's only 40 days away! Yay!

Stay warm and Safe!

We thank You, Lord, for blessings

"Spread Love everywhere you go; First of all in your own house...let no one come to you without leaving better and happier."
..Mother Teresa

Saturday afternoon I gave my girls their annual Valentine Tea. It's my gift to them. I wasn't feeling too well but nothing was going to take away the time I was going to have with them.. the days go by so swiftly and they all grow up and have their own lives to live. I cherish every moment. We all had a great time together.

I used these cupcake papers that I found at Michael's a few years ago.  They are so pretty I don't want to use them, but thought this was a prefect time and occasion, (my girls deserve the best).

Practicing for Valentine Tea

It's been years since my mother passed on, but there isn't a day that I don't think of her.  I have her bible, she read and studied it often. I found this vintage valentine in it. It was given to her by a friend before she was married to my father in 1940.  The signature  was written in pencil and faded so I couldn't make out who it was
from.

This Saturday I am having my three girls and two granddaughters for  a Valentine Tea.  Today I was trying out a few things to see if I wanted to use them in my menu.  I think they turned out pretty good.

"Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it". Proverbs 22:6

I'm sure this verse isn't talking about Tea but I'd like to think it's a way of teaching them the importance of finding time for each other.

I had to try them out!  I bought the large camp size marshmallows and melted white and milk chocolate. I dipped them in the white chocolate first and let them harden and then drizzled the chocolate over them.  I put sprinkles on some and candy hearts.

Even tho the weather temperature is near 70, it is still a good day for a cup of Tea.

" Thank God for Tea! What would the world do without Tea?
How did it exist?  I am glad I was not born before Tea".            ..Rev. Sidney Smith.

Wishing you a Blessed Day,

Sylvia
