Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas

Happy Thanksgiving

And

"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"
I Thessalonians 5:18

I am thankful for Thanksgiving and all the blessings God has blessed me with. Last year this time we were selling our home and getting ready to move into town where it would be more convenient for us as we get old into our 'golden' years. So we didn't host Thanksgiving at our home. This year my daughter will welcome all the family, at her home.

I am thankful for my family!

On Saturday Hubby and I enjoyed part of the day in Warm Springs, Ga. about a half hour drive away.

The weekend before Thanksgiving they always have their Candlelight Tour in town. It's all dressed up for Christmas.  There are candles in tubs of sand that line the streets, but I failed to get a photo of them.

This is the Hotel Warm Springs Bed & Breakfast Inn, where President Franklin D. Roosevelt stayed at times, when he came to Warm Springs. It still welcomes guest today.
His Little White House where he died, is just outside of town.

They have a parade and lots of things for children to enjoy like this train ride.

It is so pretty at night all lite up!
Neither one of us likes to drive at night anymore, so we left before dark. I had to steal borrow this one from their FaceBook page also. We have been at night before and love it! There are carolers in period dress that sings carols on the side walk.  One store rolls out a piano and plays beautiful Christmas music.

Ok, I borrowed another one from their FB page!
All they need now is snow...but there's none to be found in Georgia.

We had lunch at the Bullock House Restaurant.
It's always decorated so pretty for Christmas.

This is the entrance to the restaurant, with Santa's guarding the door.

A few doors down from the restaurant, they have a Coffee and Tea Shoppe. We sat and rested, while hubby drank coffee and ate fudge while I had a French Vanilla Cappuccino and an almond fudge bar.

Coffee is always good on a cool day!

And a cup of hot Tea
really hits the spot!

And on the way home I just couldn't resist taking a photo of these cute deer someone was selling by the road.  They were made from tree limbs!

Our grandchildren are out of school all week for
Thanksgiving, I hope to spend time with them, and
all the family.

I'll be taking a break from blogging for now. I'll be checking in from time to time, so I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas.

Be Blessed!

Friday Foto Friends

Since we haven't had rain in a month or so, my mums haven't survived so I took these photo's of some at Walmart. There is a slight chance of rain tomorrow, praying it does! We sure need it. There are wild fires in several states around me, including our own North Georgia Mountains.

The Leaves are Gone !

Yep, they're Gone!
Thanks to our yard man, now just wait cause the leaves haven't all fallen from the trees!

The grass is going dormant.

This is what I woke to this morning.
I love to watch each day and see what beauty God has blessed us with in the sky.

FALLEN LEAVES !

Happy 1 year Anniversary to Deb for hosting Friday Foto Friends !

Now this looks like fall to me!
Leaves all over the yard and just about everywhere else.

And I thought I could rake them up, so I told my hubby to tell the landscape man not to cut our grass until next Spring!

I did get out one day and raked a few then another day got the blower out but that didn't last long.

Yesterday we told our lawn care man to please come cut our grass (leaves). It will be next week before he can so I'll enjoy the leaves knowing "I" don't have to get them up.

I think that was a 'Bright Idea' , don't you!

"Lord, thank you for all the beauty of your creation that surrounds us. May we always be reminded of your grace and love. Help us to look beyond the beauty to see your hand at work"
Amen

I'll be linking up with Deb over at Breathing in Grace for Friday Foto Friends won't you join me!

May I Brag, Please

If you don't mind I'd like to take a moment little of your time to brag on one of most recent blessings.
My granddaughter, Morgan, was inducted into the National Honors Society at her high school last night.

Morgan with her parents, my daughter Debbie, her father Jimmy and brother, JC.

Of course us grandparents had to have a photo with her too!

From the time she was born, we all knew she was special. But then all grandkids are!

She was a competitive gymnastic and mostly came in the top 3 if not first place, from the time she was 5years to age 10.
She took tap and ballet at age 2.
Was a Competitive cheerleader, and cheerleader in the 10th and 11th grade.

I have so many photo's of her and her cousins, but I'll just use these for now.

What really blesses my heart is when she's been to see me, I find little note's from her that's she's left for me to find.

She is a Senior in high school, duel enrolled in College, works two jobs and does Clinical's at the hospital 4 days a week. She is planning a career as a Pediatric Nurse.
And she's only 17

Here she is dressed for the Homecoming Dance last week.

You can't tell how proud I am of her and that I love her with all my heart, now can you?

May your day be as Blessed!
