Outdoor Snack

Just tea and oatmeat raisin cookies for snack......but oh so good!

It's always nice to take a few minutes for quiet time and just sit and meditate on all that God has blessed you with, waking up in the morning, family and friends, and nature,  along with so much more. I had to take my quiet time outside with mother (nature).

A Blessed Day

The sky is still cloudy from a weekend of rain that we got from the storm on the Georgia coast, so it's a cool day.  I have my grandson, Joshua, with me today and tomorrow.  My husband has COPD so it's hard at times for him to cut the 2 acres of grass we have. I do help at times but Joshua loves riding the lawn mover.  I am so blessed to have grandchildren that don't mind helping out.

I think he is having too much fun... He'll be 13 in a couple months. Sometimes when he's here he just rides it for fun without the blades down.

Here he is in the front yard cutting as I noticed my Bee Balm is just opening up.  I love it when it blooms, the humming birds do to, only they pick it to pieces from getting the necter out of it.  See how tall the one on the right is, but it hasn't opened up yet.

Here is one of my Knock out roses re-blooming, I love that they bloom all summer.

Iris Glasware

I just love my Iris glassware. It was made by Jeannette Glass Company which started in the 1920's.  I only have two pieces and would love to collect more.

Here it is at a closer view.

This piece doesn't have the Iris on it but I love it anyway and have found many uses for it.

All three pieces

Sidewalks

Don't you just love small towns (or any size towns) sidewalks that are tree lined and full of flowers.  I do, today we went to one of our favorite towns to shop the stores after having lunch. This is Pine Mountian, Ga.

another view, love all the hanging baskets.  I try to make my pictures larger but somehow they get smaller when I post them.

See the signs and the tables outside the resturant!  So nice and peacefull, and romantic!
They even give horse and buggy rides after 6:00 P.M. on weekends!

Another sidewalk that I just love is in Hogansville, I stayed at the Hotel there last year. Can you see the bicycle parked on the side?

Love the pink flowers!

In 2010 I visited Savannah, and stayed at the Savannah Bed & Breakfast Inn, here is the sidewalk outside it and one at one of the Parks..

The one above is in Charleston, SC. across from the Inn we stayed at in August 2010. This is Bay Street..

This is the sidewalk to the side entrance to my sister's backyard.

Hope you have enjoyed our walk down these beautiful sidewalks!

Baseball

I  am not a big sports fan, but I have to admitt that I LOVE BASEBALL!  Especially when my 3 grandsons are playing.  Yesterday my "almost"  13 year old grandson,Joshua's Red Sox Dixie  Youth Baseball team won their league championship game.  They were undefeated! I am so proud of him, he was the wining pitcher!  Here is a picture of the trophy they received.  Now for the All-star games.

This is one of my teasured blessings!

Hope You have a Blessed day!

Hydrangea Blooms

Today I truly enjoyed the sunshime, not that other days haven't been pretty but today was really nice, along with the sun there was a cool breeze.  I cut grass and watered potted plants and when I got to the side of my home that I don't go to,  too often, I saw that my Hydrangea bush had bloomed.

The blooms were so large and different colors. Pinks and Purples!

I enjoy them and hope you have too!

Regular visit from a Dove!

I do try and keep a bird feeder out for my  "bird friends" but mostly the squirrals beat them to it.  There are usually 2 to 4 Doves that come and pick up the seed on the ground that the other  birds leave.  See the Dove on the tree limb?

Breakfast On The Patio

After a night of  thunder storms and rain it ws nice to wake up to cooler weather and birds singing. Sure did need the rain.  I dicided to make a breakfast Quiche and cranberry scones and eat on the patio.

It was just the two of us so I didn't do anything fancy but we enjoyed the fresh clean air and listening to the birds sing as we ate.

 Cranberry scones!

Bacon and chesse Quiche!

Lemon Curd for our Cranberry Scones!

Flowers to go beside the table since it was small and didn't have room for a table arrangement!
