Friday Foto Friends

It's that time again, time for Friday's
Photo's.
Since it says Friends, I asked my friend,
Jane, if I could use some of her photo's
she took on her trip to Vogel State Park,
in the North Georgia Mountains.

I have visited there several times. It is a
beautiful Park.

This one isn't one of hers, but I wanted to include it. It's of Amicalola Falls, also in the North Georgia Mountains.

Have a Beautiful Day!

Gracious Words

As God's children we are to become more like
Him each day.
We have received His Grace, and should show
it to others by being gracious in our words and
deeds.

" The words of a wise man's mouth
are gracious..."
Ecclesiastes 10:12

"The heart of the wise teaches
his mouth, and adds learning
to his lips."
Proverbs 16:23

Gracious heavenly father may my words
be filled with your grace and all I say and
do bring honor and glory to you.
Amen

Have a Blessed Day!

Friday Clouds

Is it just me or does it seem like Friday's
come fast.  I suppose for you ladies who work
it can't come too soon.

I do like Friday's though, it's then that my daughter's
that work will be off for the weekend and there's
a chance I'll get to see them.

Here is a few photo's of clouds I've taken recently.

This last one, on the bottom part, looks like a poodle flying. Can you see it.
I remember as a child lying on the ground
looking at the clouds and trying to make out
animals.

I love how the sky and the trees are reflected
in the lake at FDR State Park.

Here in Helen, Ga. , a German town nestled in
the North Georgia mountains, the sky is so clear
and a pretty blue.
You can see a few clouds trying  to peak in over the mountains.
As you see I had the date set on my camera when we visited Helen in 2010.
I sure would love to go
back again soon.

Summer Time

The days are warmer now and even though we do get rain a lot of days,
we do find time to enjoy the sunshine.
We took Madi Saturday and drove to Indian Springs State Park,
one of the 3 State Parks in our area.

We were enjoying sitting by the water and watching it ripple,
when this woman came up with her Kayak and dog.

Now her plans were to take her dog out with her,
but he wasn't too fond of that idea!

She tried for several minutes to get the dog into the kayak.
He finally sat there, but wasn't happy at all.

After getting the dog into the kayak,
holding him so he wouldn't jump out.

She rode around the banks for a few minutes.
The dog was scared and climbed up and held onto the woman.

She finally gave up and came back to shore.
She told us he had never been in a lake.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After church yesterday,
my daughter ask if we would like to go with her and my other daughter and grandchildren,
to High Falls State Park, which is a little closer.
It was a pretty sunny afternoon and the water was pretty.
There were people paddle boating.
Paddle Boarding
And Kayaking
Now this man's dog had certainly been in the lake before,
cause he sure was enjoying his kayak ride!
My grandchildren was enjoying Kayaking also!
What are you doing to enjoy these summer days?
Enjoy the Blessings of warm days!
Sunday's Daily Word
"Let your conversations be always full of grace,
seasoned with salt."
Colossians 4:6
" Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength,
and my redeemer."
Psalms 19:14
May you have a Blessed Sunday!
Family Dinner
My youngest sister lives in Alabama and is back for a visit.
All my siblings and a few other
family members went out to dinner, last night,
there were 16 of us.
This is where we went.
Buckner's is a family owned restaurant that is now in the third generation of ownership.
The building to the right is where gospel sings are held.
It has been in business since 1980, once we lived only a 30 minute drive from it.
It takes us and hour and fifteen minutes now to drive to it, but.....It's worth the ride!
They serve made from scratch home cooking and
it's served 'home style', on a lazy susan,
so if you don't have a large group with you, you
may be seated with strangers. That's ok, it's a good
way to meet and make new friends.
It took two tables for us.
The fried chicken is the best found anywhere.
This is my plate (first plate)
from last night.
I ate 3 pieces of chicken.
Love the Cole Slaw, fresh corn,
butter beans, Chicken and the peach cobbler is wonderful!
Those are my favorites, but they have lots more
and will keep bringing it as long as you want more!
The big Chicken out front is loved by everyone.
You just have to take photo's of it.
After we finished eating we stood outside
talking and finally left after hugs and goodbye's
were said.
"As for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord".
Joshua 24:15
Have a Blessed Day!
