Hodgepodge Birthday Tea Brunch!

Last Thursday was my daughter, Gina's birthday and Friday night her sister Debbie, had a slumber party for her and the girls. (I didn't slumber with them, I need my beauty sleep). They didn't go to bed unto 3 A.M. I did go for the Brunch the next morning.

When I arrived Debbie was setting the table with all kinds of goodies. I had made scones and homemade Lemon Curd, and I brought along extra tea since my two teenage granddaughters enjoy tea with me.

We had all kinds of good things to go with the scones.
Strawberries!

 Peaches!

 Brownies!

We even had the smell of Autumn from a candle!

We all enjoyed sitting around talking, laughing and having a good time, sipping
our tea and eating!

Have a Blessed Day!

Broken Pieces

I watched a video yesterday " The Potter's Wheel".
As I watched it I could 'see' how God's hands are on our lives, how He's there molding each area of our life, the good, the bad, happy times and sad times. Just like the clay on the potters wheel, He gently molds each of us to conform to His will. Our lives aren't always how we would have it to be, but with each joy and heartache He molds us into what He wants us to be. The best for us is what comes out of the mold when we yield to His will.

"But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our Potter
and all we are the work of your hand."
Isaiah 64:8

 From the poem :
The Master's Vessel
author unknown

"Ah This is the vessel I've been hoping to find, I will mend and use it  and make it all mine".
But "I need not the vessel with pride of it's safe,
nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf.
Nor the one who is by mouth shallow and loud,
nor one who displays his contents so proud.
Not the one who thinks he can do all things just right,
but this plain earthy vessel filled with My power and might"
"Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay,
mended and cleansed it and filled it that day.
Spoke to it kindly "There's work you must do,
Just pour out to others
as I pour into you."

So the lesson I believe that I learned from this is to slow my pace each day and reflect on my life~~ see, "by eyes of faith" how each step I take should be guided by the Potter and be conformed to His will. Each trail and troubles in my life is to become more patient under His conforming Hands and to become a Vessel for His use!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

A Little Rest Needed

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11: 28

It's been almost two weeks since I've posted but hope to be back soon. I have needed a little rest and time with my family.

Have a Blessed Weekend!

New Teacup `~ New Tea

I have a new Teacup that I would like to share with you.
Found it one day while out shopping.
It has Dorchester on the bottom.

I looked it up on the internet and found that it is from the Royal Albert Series from the 1960's and 70'.

I loved it at first sight!

This morning I made Banana nut muffins and added a handful of walnuts to the batter.
Yummy!

Now my granddaughter, Anna, loves Chocolate Mint Tea.
I couldn't find her the one with mint in it, but I did find this
Bigelow Chocolate Chai.  She said it's alright for me to try it first before I give it to her. (she's really sweet)

Well it's ok but not a favorite.  It has species in it but didn't say what kind, and they were a little strong for me.

I think I'll stick to my Earl Gray!
