A Cup of Friendship

Good Day Ladies!

It's been awhile since I posted, with  her permission
I do want to share my new teacup that my
friend Debbie over at
sent me for my birthday.
Thank you so much, you dear sweet Lady!

As I sit here at my computer compiling my post,
I am so thankful today for all you ladies that
have come to mean so much to me. You certainly
are a blessing to this old  lady!

Just when I needed a boost, this is what I received
in the mail .
This beautiful cup and loose leaf tea.
The Pu-Erh Tea is from her own state of Colorado.
I looked it up on the internet a theteaspot.com and this is what I found. "aged and fermented pu-erh tea enjoys the good reputation of weight loss tea and heart-health tea as it cuts through fat and decreases cholestorial."  I'll be drinking this everyday, as I need it for my weight and heart!
It's an organic black tea and the flavor is very tasty.
The label says it's ingredients are:
Black Tea
Pu-Erh Tea
Mallow Flowers
and
Dark Chocolate Flavoring
Sugar free and Gluten free

I have enjoyed it with Boston Creme Cake
and

Club Crackers (they are my favorite cracker)

The back stamp says it's from
'Grace Teaware'
I just love the pretty lavender flowers
and the design of the cup and saucer.
Now I think I'll make myself another cup:

Have a Blessed Day!

A Special and Blessed Day

"And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove!
for then would I fly away, and be at rest."
Psalm 55:6

Today is a specially blessed day! It is my birthday!

I don't feel a day older than yesterday! My daughter's asked me yesterday how I felt. I told them it wasn't the age that bothered me, it was that I am not as strong and not able to do all the things that I have enjoyed doing all these years.

"And even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."
Isaiah 46:4

I claim these verses to be true today, as we that are God's children can trust Him to be with us and carry us each day as we grow older. Each day is a blessing and with a thankful heart, I praise God for all the times He has carried me.
My blessings are too many to name. When I started to blog I prayed about what to name it, "A Grandma's Blessings" came to my mind. As a wife, mother and a grandmother I have received so many blessings. To share each and every one would take another lifetime. As the days go by there are so many changes and challenges we face.
Face them with courage and faith.
There are some times and days that are good and some uncertain. As time goes on I will not be posting as often, I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know so many wonderful ladies and reading your blogs.  I'm not saying goodbye,  I just need some time to focus on things that are near and dear to my heart.

May God Bless you and your Day
as He is Blessing mine!

Butterfly Sunday

The butterfly is a beautiful thing, but once it
was a Cocoon then a Caterpillar, not very pretty,
but then it was changed, turned into a beautiful Butterfly!

One day like the butterfly as believers, we shall
be changed!
Our life may be filled with struggles and troubles
but we do have hope. We can choose to give up or
fight with courage and faith.  As the butterfly fights its way out of the cocoon it changes into a beautiful thing, we too must fight the good fight of faith to become what we will be.

Philippians 3:20-21
"For our life is in heaven; from where we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body"

With courage and faith let us continue in times of trouble and adversity, knowing that these trials will make us stronger. Let me encourage you not to give up but to fight with courage and faith!

John 16:33
"In the world you will have tribulations," "In me you may have peace"

Dear Lord, give us peace in all the turmoil around us, help us as we place our trust in You, for you are our strength." Amen

Have a Blessed Sunday!
