Maybe I'm rushing fall but I did think that I've been hearing everyone talking about and wishing everyone a happy Fall!
This morning we (hubby & I) went out looking for pumpkins and didn't find any.  We didn't go to a grocery store so maybe that's why there was not a one to be found.  The stands along the road usually have them, not a one could be found.  We did find mums galore but even at 11:00 the stand were not open.

We stopped to go into the Antique store (above) and I did find a pretty teacup with blue flowers on it and had to restrain myself from buying it.  I always regret that choice, now I wish I had it.

The pine trees are dropping there needles and there are plenty of persimmon's on our trees but the hardwood trees haven't started to turn yet.

We did enjoy a ride in the countryside, where cows were grazing in the pasture and hay was stacked neatly under cover, ready for winter.

I love seeing old buildings.  This is the courthouse in a nearby town.

Callaway Gardens Country Store and Restaurant made out of stone.

Look at the detail of this B&B.  My husband and I stayed here in 2010 for our anniversary.  It was filled with antiques, teacups and teapots.  We loved it, but the owners told us that the next night would be their last night for they were selling it.  It is still a B&B but run by different people.

Guess my porch will have to stay bear until I get to the grocery store and maybe by then they will have "Pumpkins"!

Day Trip

A few days ago, my hubby and I took a trip up to the North Georgia mountains,  to the town of Ellajay, just at  the start of the mountains.

The only thing is driving through Atlanta.  The traffic is so "bad", not at all like in my little town in Central Georgia.  It's a different kind of driving too.  My hubby drove a semi for 8 years in Atlanta and now he doesn't even want to drive there.

We passed Turner field where the Atlanta Braves plays.  "Go Braves" , they just won the National League Eastern Division title.

The ride and views, once we got to the mountains were pretty.  It was worth the two hour drive, although we both said from now on we would go south.  We love the mountains and when our 3 girls were young, we'd go every year.  It's always beautiful in the fall.  The leaves haven't started turning yet and we may try to go again in October (but maybe not).

This is were we went.. the Red Apple Barn, my hubby saw it on the news as a one tank trip, so off we went.

It wasn't as big as we had imagine it to be, but was quiet nice, inside it was filled with all kinds of goodies.

We bought Apple Bread, Apples and Chow Chow.  The bread was so good with butter on it and heated a few seconds in the microwave.. I did have tea with it but didn't take any pictures. Shame on me!

The ride back home wasn't much better, even though we tried to go back at a better time,,,not rush hour.

" The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." Numbers 6: 24-26, kjv

I love the way the sun's ray's shines through my angel's trumpet.

Wishing everyone God's love and Blessings on this His day!

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow:  they neither toil nor spin;
and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one
of these."  Matthew 6:28,29

As I watered the last of my remaining summer flowers this morning, I realized that it won't be long before they will be all gone and I will miss their beauty and how they make me feel.  This led me to deep thinking and emotions. God is good and has blessed me with so much to be thankful for.  Autumn will be here soon and fill our days with an array of different colors.  I am thankful for all God's beauty!

New Pink Cup

While visiting an antique store recently, the first thing that caught my eye, when I walked in the door, was this pretty little teacup with pink roses on it.  I  love the way it's made.  See how it is around the bottom of the cup, it seems to have a "billowing", (for the lack of a better word) effect.

Have a Blessed Day!
