Words to Live by---Faith

Colossians 1:9

"Continue in Faith, established and firm do not move from the hope held out in the gospel."

I often find myself in a situation that I can't seem to handle by myself. My flesh is weak but my faith is strong. When I do or think something, then I am convicted of by the Holy Spirit, I often condemn myself. I know they are just feelings and I shouldn't go by them but trust God to help me and forgive me.
My spirit fights against my fleshly desires. Sometimes my flesh wins, I also know the battle is the Lord's, He will fight for me. My part is to surrender my will to His. I have a new life in Jesus Christ as a born again believer.

Psalm 143:5
"I remember the days of old, I meditate on all thy words,I think on the works of thy hand."

When I recall all God has done for me, I find comfort and peace. Even when I step out of His will, he draws me back, like a Shephard guards His sheep.

Romans 15:4
"For whatsoever things were written aforetime
were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."

O Lord, when I step out of your will and sin against you, forgive me and bring me back where you would have me be. Accomplish your will in me. Thank you for my life in Jesus Christ. Help me to share with others your word and hope, so they can know you too.
Amen

Words to Live by,,,Telling Other Generations

Have you ever notice the difference in others that are of different generations. I love my family, my children and my grandchildren. There are times when I notice we may have different opinions of things. It doesn't mean either of us are wrong in our thinking, we learn and grow at different stages of our life.

"One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts."
Psalm 145:4

Generations differ in there life experiences and values. This is also true with us that are following Jesus. Our spiritual connections should be stronger than what we wear or the music we like to listen to. We need each other regardless of our differences, we should share our faith with every generation.

"To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom."

"Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endures throughout all generations."
Psalm 145: 12-13

O Lord, teach me your ways so that I may teach them to each generation that I have contact with.
Help me be a better example of your love and ways, so others will see you and want to know and follow you. In Jesus name, Amen

Words to Live by,,,,To God's Glory

Every day I wake up to new blessings, and I
confess there are days that are a struggle.
God doesn't forsake us as we walk by faith
in Him. He's always there, we may not feel
His presence, but as we seek Him in our prayers,
our life. our hearts and in his word, we can assure
ourselves of His love and His watchful care.

He knows what we need before we ask.
As we walk by faith and give Him all
the glory for what he has done in our
lives, give Him the Honor and Glory.

Thank you, Lord you have done so much for me.
As I start my day, go with me and lead me by your Holy Spirit.
Keep me faithful and guide my steps.
In your Holy name I pray.
Amen

Words to Live By: My Comforter

See I have refined you, though not as silver,
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction."
Isaiah 48:10

The last year and half has been a time of testing of my faithfulness to my Lord. Those that read my Blog and on Facebook know my hubby has had so many trails of his own.  Everyday I do a post on my Facebook page of a scripture and a prayer.
I have decided to do it also on my blog. This time
of struggles and trails has brought me closer to my Lord Jesus. I am no where near where I should be in my spiritual walk but I believe I am closer than a year ago.

"Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him, for he dwells with you and shall be in you."
John 14:17

O Lord, you have given me your Spirit to live
in me, to show me the way I should go. You are
with me constantly, even when I wander off the
path you have for me. You are with me to help
me and lead me on this journey. Thank you
that your Holy Spirit lives in my heart.
Amen

God's Story of Love, Throw back Thursday

Update, my hubby continues to improve but still needs care,
I would love for him to be 100% again!

Throw back Thursday!
from April, 2018

A few weeks ago I received a summons for Jury Duty. My first thoughts were, "oh my, how am I
going to be able to do this, I need to be with my
husband who's unable to do much for himself, even though he wants too, he  doesn't need to be left alone for a long period of time."
He no longer drives and needs to be driven to doctors appointments and Physical Therapy.
I began to pray as I filled out the paper to be mailed back. I checked the box that said I was a caregiver and needed to be excused.

""
"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
proclaim his deeds among the people"
Psalm 105:1

I told my 3 daughters, and they began to pray also that the Lord would work this out in my favor.
Monday when I went to fulfil my duty, I found myself sitting between two ladies. We began to talk with each other as we waited for the judge. I found myself encouraging them and they me. I am amazed how God works to bring peace and comfort in times of stress. Two ladies I had never met and may never meet again was placed there for support. I have always felt like my Spiritual Gift was to be an encourager, although God tells us all to 'encourage one another'.

" Therefore encourage one another"
1 Thessolonians 5:11

I was dismissed from jury duty and came away feeling blessed to have been given the opportunity to encourage these two ladies. I have learned that we will be blessed with joy and peace when we bless others. God hears and answers our prayers!

"Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works."
Psalm 105:2

I love to tell the story of how God blesses me.

Have a Blessed Day!

Good Afternoon Update on Hubby

I wake up each morning,
thankful for the blessing
I am given, to wake up.

My hubby is doing better,
getting a little stronger
each day. So much to
thank God for.
He is having Home Health
Care coming about every
day. It's good to have someone
come and check on him and
see that he exercises. He doesn't
like to but is trying.

Have a Blessed Day!
