study, I felt the Lord's presence, His love filled my heart. I also was reminded how this year has been for myself and my husband. We have endured trying times in our health and our relationship. Our God hasn't left our side at anytime, He is always faithful.
"Who in heaven do I have but you? And I desire
nothing on earth but you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever."
"The days of our years are threescore and ten, and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psalm 90:10 kjv Let's give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings we are given, today and every day! I am so thankful for the time he has given me. For His mercy and Love, for family and friends!
God puts people in our lives at just the right time
to help and show His love.
I found this so true yesterday as I spent the day in the ER after havinga reaction to the Lubricant shot my doctor put in my knee. I passed out for some time and was unresponsive. I was transported to the hospital a hour away. In the ambulance on the way there, the EMT and I begin to talk, I soon discovered that he was a friend of my grandson. He was such a nice young man, he talked to me the whole time and kept me calm. He even let me
know when my blood pressure begin to rise. It had fell very low and my heart rate, they thought I was having a heart attack, but no I wasn't, just a severe reaction to the shot.
Just before we got to the hospital he asked if he
could pray for me, I said yes, he held my hand and prayed. I was so calm and after several hours, all kinds of test results came back to show I was OK,
they let me go home. All my family had left jobs, school and other things they had planned and came to be with me.
All the nurses were so kind and I am so blessed that God was with me. Just that morning before I left to go to the doctor He put two verses in my mind.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the Lord; thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end."
"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end of the world."
We are commanded as believers to show love to one another. I was shown so much love yesterday and I thank God and give Him all honor and glory.
John 15: 12
"This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you."
Today as we go about our lives, look for someone
you can show love to, maybe a smile or a helping hand. You never know when someone may need it!
My birthday was in August and my daughter, Debbie, preordered me the book, "It's Okay not to be Okay" by Sheila Walsh. It wasn't released until October.
It came a couple weeks ago and I took a week to read it since it was so enlightening. I didn't want it to end, it was that informative and helpful. I have been going through a lot this year, not just with my hubby having TMI (mini strokes) but personally and spiritually too.
"God will hold me up in his victorious right hand,,,,,"
He has held me and brought me a long way.
I give Him all praise and honor, I couldn't go another day without Him with me.
"Don't be afraid, for I am with you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you."
Sheila Walsh is a bible teacher and bestselling author with more than 5 million books sold.
She is the author of Gigi, God's Little Princess and In the Middle of the Mess.
She is the cohost of Life Today with James and Betty Robinson, and her Wednesdays in the Word program. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and son.
She helps you overcome the struggles of daily life by changing the way you think about God and yourself. She shares practical, doable strategies that will help you move from the pain and sadness you've experienced no matter what you've been through, failed marriage, lost friendships, addictions or lost jobs, etc that will help you move forward one step at a time. She uses scripture to back up all that she says, and she uses her on life experiences. As a believer I am sure you will find this helpful in your daily walk and find that it is OKay not to be Okay.
One sentence she used is "For every what-if that crosses your mind -and trust me, they still cross mine--allow the truth of God's Word to be louder than the clamor of fear."
F…. Fall on your face before Him
E…. …. earnestly seek Him.
A …….. ask Him to give you His peace.
R …….. rest in His presence.
I found this book interesting, helpful and it was even funny at times. I am writing this on my own. I wasn't asked by the publisher or Mrs. Walsh to write a review. I truly enjoyed reading it and would recommend it!
