A Time for Goodbye

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"
Ecclesiastes 3:1

It's that time, time for me to say Goodbye!
For the last 6 years I've come to know so many of my
sweet fellow bloggers.. With all the changes coming
to blog land, I find it too much for me to keep up with.
I have enjoyed posting and reading your blogs. You
have helped me with problems here and have showed
me the love of friendship.

My personal life has to be my first concern. My
hubby isn't in good health and continues to have
problems that demands my attention. There's new
lessons there that I have to learn and apply to my
days. Time spent on my computer has to be reduced.

" The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want,
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me besides still waters."
Psalms 23:1-2

I long for the quiet still waters in my life. Today when
I opened my blog to do this post, there was another
note from blogger saying that more changes are coming
and I believe the time has come to say good-bye.
I am friends with so many of you on Facebook.
I would love to become friends with more of you if
you are on it. This would allow us to keep up with
each other without taking up so much of our time
needed for personal use.

I will leave my blog up for now.

May you have a
Blessed Memorial Day!

Sunday Morning and Comments

Take time today to rest and enjoy the day.

I need to see if I am getting your emails after
a comment has been publish. If you could take
a moment to say a few words, I would appreciate it.  I haven't been getting emails from my comment post. Google has been up to some
changes, it seems.

Thanks and have a Blessed Day!

Friday Foto Friends and Blog Cookies

We have been getting lots of rain this week
and are told we may get lots more by Monday!

My hubby and I just drove to the road in the
county where we moved from 2 years ago.
This is the waterfall that the creek is on, it flows
under the bridge.

The creek is called "Ten Mile Creek".
It is overflowing!

Now about the cookies, no it's not the kind you eat!

When I clicked to do my post, a notice came up about European laws and cookies. It said something about I had to let my readers know about it. Now I don't know or understand what they are talking about, but I can tell you that my computer is cleaned daily on a regular bases of all unnecessary cookies.
I consider it told, hope this is enough. I am not a computer genius and don't know all the in's and out's of it! If someone does know what they are
talking about, would you enlighten me.

So far now I will link up with :

Proud Grandma

A few weeks ago I posted photo's that my
Granddaughter Anna took.
Yesterday at her high school's Art Show,
she won 3rd place for the one she entered.
As her grandma, of course I think she should
have won 1st place. I love this photo and that
is her Ukulele and she plays it.
Just wanted to exercise my "Grandma Bragging Rights".

Have a Blessed Weekend!

Thankful Thursday

Every day we should stop and count our blessings,
tomorrow isn't promised.

"O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
His mercy endures forever."

Wonderful Rainy Wednesday

It's raining again today and is suppose to all week and through the weekend.
We need the rain to wash away the pollen and water the trees and plants. Yes, the birds need the water also, but it is dreary out so I used this time to clean all the floors in the house.
Thank you God for your Love and for this rainy day!

My daughter gave me this pretty Hibiscus for Mother's Day. I have never had one before so any info on how to take care of it will be appreciated, do I plant it or can I leave it in this pot?
I'm not sure if it's hardy for my zone 8 or not.

I do love it and would love to leave it here on my porch since my dirt is so hard and I am not able to dig because of my knees.

PLANTS AND GOOD DEEDS

I enjoy planting flowers each Spring
in pots, some small and some larger.
I love color and try to plant as many
as I can care for.

Each morning I go out to water them.
Taking care of them is a chore but one
that has it's rewards, but some not so
good.
You see I have a squirrel that lives in a
tree in my yard. I believe it's this pesky
little animal that digs in my flower pots
and uproots the plants.

It has even eaten the flowers off the moss rose
(the last pot on bottom row).
I have also seen several holes in the ground.
It could be a chipmunk or both that digs up
my plants.

I am reminded of another pest in my life.
As hard as I try to do good and let my love show,
there's this thing that we all have, it's called
"sin nature". We're all born with it.
It's the things we do or say that "uproots" our
testimony. Unkind words or actions can uproot
all the good we've done.

Today as I water my flowers, I'll be
reminded to water the seeds in my life with words of kindness and actions with good deeds. I will try my best to treat others the way I wish to be treated.

"My little children, let us not love in word
or tongue, but in deed and in truth."
1 John 3:18
'NKJV'

Thankful for this day,
be blessed!

Joy

"Sing unto the Lord, o ye saints of his,
and give thanks at the remembrance
of his holiness.
For his anger endureth for a moment,
in his favor is Life:
Weeping may endure for a night,
but JOY cometh in the morning."

Psalm 30:5

So thankful for God's promises of joy, Love
and forgiveness!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Thankful to Serve

As I woke this morning my mind was on my attitude. Yes, I have to admit sometimes it isn't
what it should be... is God trying to show me this!

I get caught up in all my household chores and helping and doing for others. My hubby isn't in the best of health and sometimes demands, what I think is a lot of me. I cry out (to myself) "I am not your servant."  But is this not as believers what we're suppose to do. I am reminded that Jesus came to serve, not to be served.

"I am among you as one who serves"
Luke 22:27

I have to ask myself, do I go about the day, with this in mind?  Whatever position in life we hold we should remember to carry out our role with the attitude of service.

This morning as I started out with this in mind, and  got out my daily devotion and read it, then again in my new ladies devotional book; to my amazement this was the same theme.
Luke 22:24-27

"Yes, I do believe God was trying to get my attention!"
Yes, and He did get it!

" This morning, O Lord, I thank you for your grace and promises. Lead me in Your ways and fill my heart with Your love and joy. Help me to choose to serve others rather than to expect to be served!'
Amen

Have a Blessed Day!

May

Finally May has arrived!

"The flowers appear on the earth,
the singing of birds is come,
and the voice of doves is heard
in our land:
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grapes
give a good smell..."

Song of Solomon 2:12-13

Happy First Day of May!
Have a barrel full of
beautiful Days fill with Sunshine
and flowers!

Until we meet again,
Be Blessed!
