Monday Morning Chat

Good Morning, ladies!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I was blessed to have my sweet granddaughter, Anna,
spend the weekend with us. She will turn 15 next
month (March) and looking forward to getting her Learner's license!
We had an enjoyable time together.
We made Chicken Salad and had Tea with it.
I started her and my 18 year old granddaughter, Morgan,
off when they were 2 years old liking a cup of hot tea.
Can't start them too young!

I love my pretty Tea Infuser a sweet blogger friend sent me at Christmas.
You just add your loose leaf tea and sit it in your cup.

Have you ever tried BBQ Meat Loaf?

Well I hadn't either until I reached in the frig to get the Ketchup and
before I realized it I had dumped a big ole clump into my meat mixture.
It wasn't so bad, my hubby wants me to use it every time.
Maybe but maybe not!

Have a Blessed Monday!

Afternoon Light Tea

Light Tea is a lighter version of afternoon tea
with scones, sweets, and choice of tea.

How did it exit?
I am glad
I wasn't born
before tea."

When we Cry for Help

"How gracious the Lord will be when you cry for help".
Isaiah 30:19

After the weekend of Tornado's in our state and in the county where I live, we are to have a day of sunshine and temperature's in the 50's.

These are just a couple of photo's taken a few miles from where I live. They believe it was a tornado, it should be determined today .

God is so good and spared my neighborhood from any real damage. We had lots of rain and high winds.

In the Southern part of Georgia, there were so much damage, a whole trailer park was demolished and as of now 4 people lost their lives there. In another town 11 people lost their lives.

This morning my devotion touched my heart and reminded me that when we "cry out to God", He is ready to hear our cry and help.

Isaiah30:18-19

" the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion...How gracious he will be when you cry for help!."

Many people today are crying out and looking for someone to help. God often looks to His people to answer their cries. It is a privilege to be the hands of God as we respond on His behalf to the cries for help. Even when we aren't able to do, we can always lift our voices up in prayer.

"Lord you are always ready to show compassion,
remind me today, that I can be an instrument for you,and show compassion when you give me the
opportunity. May I see it when you do and answer
the cry!"

Amen

May your day be Blessed!

Sunday Morning Coffee - Kindness

Good Morning, dear readers.  As I read my daily journal this morning, I was inspired to share with each of you.

There was a photo shared on social media once, by someone that witnessed an act of Kindness.
As an older passenger sat on a New York subway, a younger man sitting next to him fell asleep and gently his head fell onto the shoulder of the older man. Other passengers offered to wake him up, but quietly the older man said, "He must be tired and had a long day, let him sleep. We've all been there".
The older man's kindness reflects the heart of God.. we all long for this.
In Mark 10:13-16, We see the gentleness in Jesus when the little children came to see him, and the disciples tried to stop them. Jesus said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Jesus took the child and sat him on his lap and blessed him.
To find this kind of kindness we all must come to him as a child humble ourselves before him.
We can be assured that we are safe in Him, whether we are asleep or awake, we can LEAN on Him, when we are tired and can find rest for He is a safe place for us.

Under His wings, I am safely abiding,
though the night deepens
and tempests are wild;
still I can trust Him-I know He will keep me,
He has redeemed me and I am His child.

We can all be blessed when we offer
Kindness to others!

Thankful Thursday

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Psalms 107:1 NKJV

Everyday is a Blessing.
Be Thankful!

The habit of just saying "Thank you" enriches every aspect of our lives. It cost nothing, but creates so much joy for both the giver and the receiver. Always be ready to express thanks. You will then discover how much joy you can bring to others.

I Love Biscuits

We don't always like what we are dealt with some days. The day may be fun or not so likeable! Good  or bad God is in control, and there is usually a lesson we can learn from it if we just stop wait and learn from it. Sometimes God allows conflict to teach us a lesson. We just need to be patient.

This is a lesson I am learning. I am bad about answering quickly and not thinking it through when I am facing a decision. God is still working on me.  He's mixing and baking and I'm waiting to see what He has for me.

Have a Blessed Tuesday

When coming in the other day from town, as I was walking up to the door, I noticed this flower blooming! Can anyone tell me it's name? I should know but I can't think of it, guess that's what happens when you get 0ld up in age.

It's so pretty and white! It deserves a name.

Be The Light

Last year we bought a rocking chair for our front porch.  It wasn't assembled!  It took us a couple of hours to put it together. All the pieces were there, along with the screws that were needed. We had the instructions, although they weren't very clear to us at times. We even got one of the rockers on backwards and had to start over.

Like the rocking chair, Life doesn't come with simple instructions. We can mess up and  become overwhelmed with difficult moments in each day that we face. But we don't have to face them alone. We can bring them to God.

Philippians 4: 6-7

"Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer bring your petitions to God, and His peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus."

It's been a very good holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas was great, but went by fast. Even in these times it can become overwhelming. I have such wonderful friends here and on Facebook along with friends where I live. They let their LIGHT SHINE by giving encouraging words, gifts and support. I am so thankful for my blogging friends.
I want to wish everyone a very Blessed New Year!

This is what the weather man is saying is coming to Central Georgia tomorrow night and Saturday!

Say it isn't going to be this much, Please!

I have tried to drop in on as many blogs as I could find time for during my break. I hope to be back posting more. I am having surgery on two of my toes next week and will have to stay off my feet for a few days, maybe I can sit at my computer and visit.

Until Next Time,
Be Blessed!
