Friday Foto Friends Sky Photo's

" "Thy mercies are renewed every morning, great is thy faithfulness, O Lord"
Lamentations 3:22-23

Sitting on my front porch, one morning this week, I notice these clouds, ran inside and got my camera.
I thought they would be good for Friday Foto Friends.

I love to be outside early in the morning.
This is the street in front of the house.

You can see how close to the road the house sits.
I notice the sun trying to come up through the trees.

"And God said, Let there be light, and there was Light"
Genesis 1:3

"And God called the Light Day, and the darkness he called Night,  And the evening and the morning was the first day."
Genesis 1:5

Today I am reminded of God's great Love and Mercy!
It turned out to be a Beautiful Day.
Praise our Lord God!

Have a Blessed Day!

Tuesday 4.s

Over at, Toni @ a visit from Friends , on Tuesday's she does Tuesday Meme's 4.  I enjoyed reading her answers and thought I would do one today, and maybe every Tuesday.

Here we go....

1. Favorite Outfit to wear.

Slacks and t-shirts because t-shirts are so comfortable!

            2.  Favorite Hair Color and Style.

Silver, because that's what God has blessed me with, and short and easy to fix.

3.  Favorite Kind of Shoes.

I am a barefoot kind of girl, but comfortable ones if I do wear any, usually thick sole walking shoes.

4. Favorite ways to Relax

I like to sit in my wing back chair alone in my guest room, quietly reading my Bible or Daily Journal.

Drop by and visit Toni and read her answers.

Have a Blessed Day!

Something to think about

Lord, Prop us up

This author is unknown, I found this when I was cleaning out my file drawers, yesterday. I had printed it out in 2005.  It made me stop and think.

LORD PROP US UP

Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed, "Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side."

After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.

He answered, "Well sir, you see, it's like this....
I got an old barn out back.  It's been there a long time, it's withstood a lot of weather, it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.  It's still standing, but one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.  So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side so it wouldn't fall.

Then I got to thinking 'bout that and how much I was like that old barn.  I've been around a long time.  I've withstood a lot of life's storms, I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life, I've withstood a lot of  hard times, and I'm still standing too! But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side, 'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning, at times."

Sometime we get to leaning toward anger, toward bitterness, hatred, toward a lot of things that we shouldn't, so we need to pray, "Lord, prop us up on our leaning side, "so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord..

~ ~ ~
Dear Lord, help me to lean on You today.
My life I yield to You,
A channel for Thy love and grace to be;
Use me just as Thou wilt, I humbly pray.
To point some soul unto the Living Way.
 More purity give me, more longings for home;
More fit for thy kingdom, more used would I be,
More blessed and holy...more, Savior, like Thee.

Lake Getaway

Last week hubby and I took a few days and rented a cottage on the Lake at Indian Springs State Park. It was so good to get away and enjoy peace and quiet. There were 10 cottages and we were the only ones there. No cars or other loud noises!

There were lots of porch sitting (or rocking)!

Tea drinking and Coffee!
Do you see the Lake through the trees!

This is how close we were to the water!
Right in the back yard!

We went to the Whimsical Botanical Gardens just a few yards from the Park Entrance.

We were really tired from walking up and down the hills but did enjoy it.

We entered here through the door of this building.
There were 3 frogs and 3 little piggy's to welcome us.

There were the cutest little animals in the children's area. Turtles, Roosters ,frogs, turkey's and lots of other animals like these below.

As we continued rounding the path to the top of the hill we found a very pretty English type garden.

There was a large Gazebo filled with Rocking Chairs!! We spent a long time here!

And a cute smaller Gazebo with a rocking horse for children...so cute!

We were up every morning to welcome the sun!
At night we would sit and watch it as it went down!

Sometimes we get in a rut and need a change of scenery, just take a few days and find a place where you can breathe the fresh air and enjoy nature. It's God's gift to us.

Have a Blessed Day!

The Beauty Of it All

I love to look at the sky and see the beauty of God's creation!

I took this at my granddaughter's high school football game last Friday evening just as the sun was going down. She plays the flute in the marching band.
They won the game 30 - 0
