GEORGIA WINTER SNOW

This morning we woke up to 2 to 3 inches of snow and if you live
in Georgia you know that doesn't happen but every few years.
Feb. 2011 was the last big snow that we had.  Everyone gets excited! It is pretty, but the mess it causes isn't very pretty, just ask the thousands of people that has been stuck in their cars for hours in Atlanta! Most has spent the night in their cars and hundreds of children couldn't get home from school and had to stay overnight in the gyms.  I pray they can get the roads open today.

This is outside my home this morning. I am a little over an hour south of Atlanta.

Stay warm and have a Blessed day!

New Tea Magazine

I know we have many bloggers that enjoy a cup of tea... Today I found this great magazine by Victoria, it's
Victoria Classic "Tea Pleasures".
It has so many ideas, recipes and information in it.  I have learned alot just sitting here with my cup of Pomegranate Rooibos tea reading it.

Inside it has so many photo's of teacups and tablescapes.  I just had to tell you about it.

My granddaughter made some blueberry butter from a recipe she got for Christmas, from The Pioneer Woman's new cookbook, it goes so good with my Tea and scones.

Hope you are having a Blessed Day!

Have A Peaceful Sunday!

Photo Callaway Gradens Chapel

May peace like a River,
Flow from our Lord above,
And meet your deepest needs
As you walk in His Love.

OLD BUILDINGS

As you drive around in the country side, do you ever wonder about the people that lived in these old homes!  I do, It's sad to see them all empty and forgotten. This one is up the street from where I live, I pass it every time I go to town.  I rode by it again today and just had to get a photo of it.  I'm glad the owners haven't torn it down, if they did we wouldn't get to enjoy it.  It gets me to thinking. This one is a house but looks as if it has some type of pen attached to it. Was it pigs or goats or maybe a pony for their child!

Here's an old barn that's a little farther up the road, it's about to fall down.  Did cattle or  horses once stay warm in it on those cold winter nights long ago.

This building, what do you think it once was, a place where the farmers worked, stored their goods or did it house animals?

This Old Griss Mill actually still has the wheel attached to it, but the direction that I was driving I couldn't get  a picture of it. It saddens my heart to see it neglected.

Enjoy this day the Lord has given us and be blessed!

Rainy Saturday

Madi is enjoying playing with Milo on this rainy day.
Milo isn't an indoor kitty, but with the cold weather and all this rain, I let him stay inside.  They chase each other around.  There were thunder and lightening this morning but it is all moving out this afternoon.

Hope everyone is staying warm and dry, and enjoying the weekend.

Yummy! Cinnamon Bun Scones

Years ago  a friend gave me a saucer and plate, that I dearly love, but there wasn't a teacup with it.  Ever since then I've looked for one.  Again my daughter, Debbie, came to my aide.  I gently opened a gift from her on Christmas and there it was!! Yay my teacup!  She even got the saucer to!  Now I have the set, after all these years of searching,  I'm so happy!

Yesterday afternoon I was feeling somewhat better and made some scones by a recipe that a friend posted on FaceBook.
They turned out so good, even my hubby loved them, and ate three.

Then I sat down and enjoyed a few myself.

Enjoying my new teacup,also.

Have a Blessed Day!
