It's Okay Not to be Okay__Book Review

This is the first time I have done a book review.
My birthday was in August and my daughter, Debbie, preordered me the book, "It's Okay not to be Okay" by Sheila Walsh. It wasn't released until October.

It came a couple weeks ago and I took a week to read it since it was so enlightening. I didn't want it to end, it was that informative and helpful. I have been going through a lot this year, not just with my hubby having TMI (mini strokes) but personally and spiritually too.

"God will hold me up in his victorious right hand,,,,,"
Isaiah 41:10

He has held me and brought me a long way.
I give Him all praise and honor, I couldn't go another day without Him with me.

"Don't be afraid, for I am with you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you."
Isaiah 41:10

Sheila Walsh is a bible teacher and bestselling author with more than 5 million books sold.
She is the author of Gigi, God's Little Princess and In the Middle of the Mess.
She is the cohost of Life Today with James and Betty Robinson, and her Wednesdays in the Word program. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and son.
She helps you overcome the struggles of daily life by changing the way you think about God and yourself. She shares practical, doable strategies that will help you move from the pain and sadness you've experienced no matter what you've been through, failed marriage, lost friendships, addictions or lost jobs, etc that will help you move forward one step at a time. She uses scripture to back up all that she says, and she uses her on life experiences.
As a believer I am sure you will find this helpful in your daily walk and find that it is OKay not to be Okay.

One sentence she used is "For every what-if that crosses your mind -and trust me, they still cross mine--allow the truth of God's Word to be louder
than the clamor of fear."

F…. Fall on your face before Him
                    E…. ….  earnestly seek Him.
A ……..  ask Him to give you His peace.
R …….. rest in His presence.

I found this book interesting, helpful and it was even funny at times. I am writing this on my own. I wasn't asked by the publisher or Mrs. Walsh to write a review. I truly enjoyed reading it and would recommend it!

Have a Blessed weekend!
Sylvia

I just read a little bit about Sheila Walsh. I remember when she was on the 700 Club, but I did not know the story of her life. Amazing!

Hope you are feeling better, Sylvia. I prayed for you. I think we all feel like this sometimes.

Blessings. (And blissings!)

One verse that has been very powerful in my trials is 'I will love Thee O Lord my strength.' There is a power in that Word that is far above all that the enemy would try to inflict upon us. May God bless you with His strength.

Sylvia, thank you for this review. That sounds like a good book to read and helpful and I'm especially glad you found it to offer you help in your trying circumstances. I really like the FEAR acronym. I know I can get caught up in that with all I have going on in my life as well.

Sounds like an excellent book. I have heard
Sheila Walsh speak many times at the "Women of Faith" conferences years ago. I am glad to hear about this book. She is an excellent speaker, singer and writer. What a wonderful gift for your birthday. Thank you for sharing it with us. Praying for you.
