The gift of God's Love.
Thankful for my family.
My friends.
The special ladies I've met and come to
know and love here in blog land.

Time with all my family on this special day!

There is so much to be Thankful for!

"Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the people.
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him,
talk ye of all his wondrous works."
1 Chronicles 16:8-9

I want to wish everyone a very
Happy Thanksgiving
and
A Merry Christmas!

There will be 14 for Thanksgiving Day at
my house. My girls are bringing the food
and I will do the dessert,
I am so blessed to have such thoughtful
and loving daughters!
God is so good!
I may not be posting as often but will try
to find time to visit and read your post!

Be Grateful and Thankful

Next week is Thanksgiving!

This year is going by so swiftly.

Let's be grateful and thankful for
all we are blessed with, God's Love,
family and friends.

"A person with a thankful heart is ONE who's
had an experience with The Lord Jesus Christ,
that has absolutely Transformed their life."

OUR LIGHTHOUSE

Charity Island Lighthouse

In Michigan in the waters of Lake Huron, is an island called Charity Island. On this island stands a Lighthouse. The Lighthouse has stood for many
years and provided navigational aid and as a safe
harbor for those sailing the waters.  The island received the name "Charity" because sailors believed it was there "through the charity of God".

We have to navigate through storms of circumstances sometime in our lives.  Like the sailors that needed guidance on those stormy waters, we sometimes need and seek a safe harbor.

"He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven"
Psalms 107:29-30

We don't ask for the storms that comes into our lives but they can cause us to appreciate the guidance and refuge that God provides. He offers us the light of His Holy Spirit and His Word to guide us during those times. It is a safe harbor of His love, from those storms that we seek. He alone can be our "Charity Island".

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in Him."
Nahum 1:7

Today we can become confused or doubt when we read or hear others talk about things that they believe that may be different from what we've been taught and believe to be the truth and can  cause a storm in us. Always seek the truth in God's Word, the bible, and through prayer. We can always find shelter in His love.

Heavenly father, help me to seek your light to guide me and keep me through those storms in my life. Amen

Have a Blessed Sunday

Friday Foto Friends

I think this week was the last time
to see the fall leaves, although they
haven't been as bright and shiny as in
the past years, they were still a sight
to see.

I love winding roads and this day was a blessing!
Driving through the park and seeing the leaves and I stopped at the overlook and got a photo of the sky.

On Saturday my family, all that could, went to the nearby town for my daughter's birthday. We had lunch at an Italian restaurant then shopped for awhile. The mall had up a huge Christmas tree.

The trees were pretty there also.
It rained all day yesterday so most of the leaves have fallen (onto my car)!

Have a Blessed Day!

We Waited Impatiently

Good Monday morning,
I love fall and all the beautiful color
it brings....but if only we could learn
to wait more patiently for them to come each
year.

We waited patiently  impatiently
for the leaves to turn.
Now they are falling to the ground.

Have a Blessed Fall Day!

Photo's for Friday Foto Friends

Yesterday was a beautiful day to get out and enjoy
some time with Mother Nature.
Here is some photo's taken at Sprewell Bluff Park just a few miles from where I live.

The leaves are just turning, so pretty!

This is the overlook for the Flint River.
It is a blessing to have such a beautiful park
to visit and only a 10 minute drive.

And I have to include a sky photo
from there!

Hope you enjoyed the afternoon with me
at one of my favorite parks. It isn't a State
Park, it's own by the county.

Won't you join me there.

Have a Blessed Day!

Out looking for color and a Birthday

It was a special day on Tuesday!
My last grandchild turned
13!

Now all my grandchildren are teenagers!
Well, except for one and he is 21!
WOW, we are getting older!
I refuse to say OLD!

Hubby and I went to visit our daughter, Gina, and to take our grandson to his favorite eating place. He was in school so we
sat on her back porch, enjoying the afternoon
till it was time to leave to pick him up.
They have a lot of land so we thought maybe
the trees had turned their beautiful colors for fall.

It's really pretty there, but, I have seen better color in the past years.

When it was time for our grandson, Aaron, to get out of school for the day, my hubby and I left to pick him up.

This was the only tree that had started to change color at the school, but not much color.

While we were waiting in the car line,
two young boys came out.
We watched them as they carefully
lower the American Flag.
It took them a while to do this, guess
they didn't want to have to go back to
class.

When Aaron came out after the school bell rang, (brought back memories)
we took him to his favorite place to eat...

Subway!

It was a pretty day for a drive and time well spent with our daughter and grandson! Priceless!

Grandchildren
and
This Day the Lord has given me!

Have a Blessed Day!
