Summer Time

The days are warmer now and even though we do get rain a lot of days,
we do find time to enjoy the sunshine.
We took Madi Saturday and drove to Indian Springs State Park,
one of the 3 State Parks in our area.

We were enjoying sitting by the water and watching it ripple,
when this woman came up with her Kayak and dog.

Now her plans were to take her dog out with her,
but he wasn't too fond of that idea!

She tried for several minutes to get the dog into the kayak.
He finally sat there, but wasn't happy at all.

After getting the dog into the kayak,
holding him so he wouldn't jump out.

She rode around the banks for a few minutes.
The dog was scared and climbed up and held onto the woman.

She finally gave up and came back to shore.
She told us he had never been in a lake.

After church yesterday,
my daughter ask if we would like to go with her and my other daughter and grandchildren,
to High Falls State Park, which is a little closer.

It was a pretty sunny afternoon and the water was pretty.
There were people paddle boating.

Paddle Boarding

And Kayaking

Now this man's dog had certainly been in the lake before,
cause he sure was enjoying his kayak ride!

My grandchildren was enjoying Kayaking also!

What are you doing to enjoy these summer days?

Enjoy the Blessings of warm days!

Water sure is blue, so pretty. Looks like you had a great time at both parks. We have two parks just blocks away and enjoy both of them. Hope you enjoy the day!!

I felt sorry for the first dog who did not want to be on the water.
We used to live near many parks along Lake Lanier but not so much now. Mostly we are staying home and quiet this holiday! lol

Sylvia, I don't know if I would have been able to stifle my laughing about the scardy dog. The other dog was a salty dog, sea faring one. I love seeing everyone have fun. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

That poor little doggy. He really was scared. I am sorry for the woman who didn't get to enjoy her kayak ride. I'd say next time best to leave that poor doggy home. I'm glad your Madi had a good time...and then the other dog at the lake...now, he knew what to do! Love that you were able to enjoy being with your grandkids and family for such a lovely time in a beautiful place. You are truly blessed. I guess you don't have to worry about alligators up there in your lakes! That would be nice!!! Have a blessed and peaceful 4th of July!

That poor little doggy who didn't want to be near the water. What a special time you had with your grandkids, Sylvia. It sounds like your family loves the water.
