Enjoying Mother's Day Goodies

I suppose the weekend is catching up with me,  I sure didn't want to get going this morning.  I finally pulled myself out of bed after listening to Madi (chihuahua)  whine for me to get up.  I still didn't want
to busy myself, so I made myself some Strawberry Tea,  prettied up the table on my patio and placed the
cookies my daughter gave me on a plate with a piece of chocolate biscotti.  The flower cookie is a Green Smiley Daisy Honey Lemon cookie. The Teapot cookie is a Honey Vanilla Cookie. I saved the teapot cookie and the Apple Cinnamon cookies for later.  The Ahmad  Strawberry Sensation Tea is a black tea from London, England, it  was good but maybe I should have had a different flavor that went better with the biscotti.  It was so nice to sit outside and listen to the birds sing.  There was a gentle breeze  that made it perfect.  I could have sat there all morning.

Aren't they pretty?  I  almost  didn't want to eat them....I did eat the daisy cookie but saved the teapot one.

I love the Tea for One teapot my daughter found at Callaway Gardens for me.

Two of my three daughters gave me Roses.....to plant...  so happy that my two grandsons and  son~in~law planted them for me.. One is a yellow Knock Out Rose and the other is a white Tea Rose.

The cookie set was from my daughter and her daughter and son, Morgan and  JC,  and they gave me the sign.. I am so blessed,

I hope everyone had a BLESSED MOTHER'S DAY!

Your cookies are very pretty and I can see why you didn't want to eat them :) But they also look very tasty!

I am rather tired today too. Although my son has been sick and I think he "lovingly" shared his cold with me so I think that is partly why I feel so blah.

I hope you have a beautiful day, friend.

Love and hugs!

I am sorry you are not feeling well,Stephanie, this weather is so changing that it's no wonder everyone is getting a cold.

Hugs to you!

Syl your post is heavenly!

And I LOVE that teapot for one - pretty bird!!

I cannot even believe those cookies are real - they are just too perfect!

Well I finally was able to post - have had contractors in the house it seems forever. Phase 2 starts around the corner, but for now having my home back and peacefully quiet is helping my frayed nerves to enjoy teatime again!

Hi Sylvia,
Your cookies are so pretty and I don't blame you for hesitating to eat them! The tea-for-one is adorable and how lovely to receive your rose plants on such a special day. Nice that they planted them for you too. Love that pitcher filled with flowers too. A very lovely post and thank you for sharing it with us and coming to tea. Have a beautiful week.

Blessings,

That is a beautiful teapot. I love things with birds and nests and such. And those cookies! Yum!

I got a rose bush for Mother's Day too. It's a J.F. Kennedy white rose. I look forward to seeing how it blooms.
