First Week of the Year

Here it is, the first whole week of the New Year!
All the Christmas decorations are put back up for
another year when they'll be brought back out again
to celebrate this year, 2015 coming to a close. I am
thankful for the blessings my good Lord has given me.
We've had good days and some bad days, but He saw
us through them all.

My daughter gave me this Scentsy Candle warmer for
Christmas. I love it because it's electric and  I don't need to
worry about it burning anything, it uses a night light bulb
to melt the wax. Oh and it smells so good!

Yes, Christmas with all it's trimmings are all
packed up and the only thing left at my home
is the candy on my Two Tier Server another
daughter gave me for Christmas.
They know their daddy's favorite candy is
Hershey's  kisses, so they always give him
a large bag of them. I'm hoping every time
someone walks by they'll eat a hand full.
I have lost 5 lbs. since Christmas from not
eating sweets. Proud of myself cause it sure
isn't easy. Love Sweets!!

Well I have to admit that
I did eat just a very small piece
of my granddaughter's 16th birthday cake.
Who could resist, isn't it beautiful!
My daughter's friend made it for her.

With a new year comes decisions to change things,
maybe our habits, are our decor in our homes. But
the best decision would be to be a light to this
world. Showing God's love and kindness to others.

"Ye are the light of the world. A City
that is set on an hill can not be hid,
Neither do men light a candle,
and put it under a bushel, but
on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto
all that are in thy house.
Let your Light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16 (kjv bible)

Have a Blessed Week
Sylvia

Congratulations on putting your Christmas decorations away! I still have the few I put out up.....one of these days I will de-Christmas the house. I love the candle warmer, I thought it was an antique at first. Yay for you for not eating the candy and losing weight! I've lost my craving for sweets too, only eat a few :-) Happy New Year to you!!!

Good morning, dear Sylvia! Your little pink tea pot is just too sweet and I bet it smells delightful.

And congratulations on losing 5 pounds, sweet friend! I must confess that I have a terrible sweet tooth and find it hard to pull away from desserts.

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! Thinking of you. Hugs!

Scentsy Candle warmer... Oh I love the idea of that. Must look them up.

Candles are so worrisome. Must remember not to leave them alone, and etc.

But the electric and etc. Love it.

Congratulations to you, on the results of not having candy!!! Even with those temptations, right there. :-)

I almost bought that warmer myself Sylvia, may still yet as I love their products. I've not been burning candles since acquiring the 2 Scentsy burners I have. Losing some weight is my priority this year and the chocolates that remain in the house keep calling to me... :-)

Sylvia, that tea pot is perfect for you!
I bet your home smell heavenly.
Congratulations on losing 5 pounds!!
It is not always easy. My knees have been so abused with all the work that was done with my parents that I have not been able to exercise the same, but I got the exercise ball out a week ago and will give that a try.

May this New Year and all that you hope to accomplish bring you many blessings.

Love and hugs, Debbie
