No Place Like Home

Be it ever so humble,
There's no place like Home!

 internet poem

As you may know we have a new place that we call
"Home".
Christmas week is not a good time to move!
Enough said!

Milo doesn't care, he calls Home anywhere there's a chair where he can sleep!

Our new home was built in 1929, but has been updated, leaving all the character.  I love all the wide molding.

Although the fireplace no longer works, it is still special with the mantel and large molding.

I still have a lot of tweaking to do, but if you have ever moved you'll understand.

I've always loved the saying
"Home is where the Heart is"
no matter where that may be.

Until next we meet,
Have a Blessed Home!
Sylvia

Sylvia, I love the big windows where you can sit and have your coffee. I just love lots of light. I hoping you are getting settled in there. Once you are moved in...it's okay to take your time getting it like you want. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

When looking for a new name for my weekly meme, I thought of Home is Where the Heart Is but I think there is already one out there so I chose No Place Like Home. Your new home looks really lovely, Sylvia. You just can't beat the character in an older home. They have a personality all their own that new houses just don't have. I love your quotes and I'm sure I will be borrowing them in the near future. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your new home.

Blessings,
Sandi

Oh Sylvia, how exciting. I love all your thoughts on HOME! Everything looks so lovely and fresh. We have lived in our home for almost 40 years. I can't imagine moving. I moved every 2-2 1/2 years when I was growing up.
I am asking God to bless you and your new home.
Hugs.
Linda

Hi Sylvia, Oh I so understand after moving so many times I've lost count. Looks like you are well on your way to settling in and everything is looking lovely. I know it is a big job and changes many times as you find what works and where. Best wishes in your new home and God Bless you there with many joys. xo

Love the pictures of your new home. It is so great that you're in a 1929 home, be still my heart. It's always been my dream to live in a vintage home that has been kept up and updated. Alas, no such place can be found in my place of the world. Your Happy Home recipe was precious and please tell Milo he looks just too comfortable! I'm late with my comments today, it was GLOW day and I didn't get home until late. Hope you've had a great day.

Such a feat to move at all but during the holidays even more so. I love the molding and the light...am happy you have started in your 'new' home. Sounds like there will be lots of love to fill it up.

I am glad you are finally getting a little more settled. I've been praying for you. I DO know what it is like to move...and at Christmas too, so I know how much "fun" this has been. Looking forward to seeing more and more as you get more done...but don't rush. Just enjoy!
