Staycation

I'm back and sure did miss everyone!
I did find time to read some blog post
so I wouldn't feel too out of touch.

During my " Staycation " I stayed busy doing
things I needed to do . Well I really did
"NOT" want to do a yard sale, but my
daughter talked me into it. Our town
had a community yard sale at the park
where I go to walk...(my furry pet).

I did get to do some yard work, which after
a long cold winter, was very much needed.

With my hubby's help, I moved my arbor from
it's place down by a cedar tree that was growing
too close to it. I like it much better here in the
fenced area by the house.

I planted a climbing American  Rose,
 and it's pink!
I can't wait until it climbs over the top!
I think I bought 8 or 10 plants and potted them.
Well I still have about 3 to pot, maybe I'll get
that done today.

Yesterday my daughter called to ask if we wanted to meet them at Sprewell Buff Park for a picnic, yes...any time I can spend with family is GREAT!
Here's my son-in-law grilling.

There were people on the river that flows through
the park.
Good thing there's a life jacket nearby,
cause this man may need it.

Some of the nutty people will climb onto this
huge rock and jump off it. The water isn't that
deep in this area so you have to "know" just
where to jump!
He did make it without us having to throw the
life jacket out to him.

We stayed close to home since we were trying
to save for our "Vacation".
Tomorrow I'll tell you about it.
Here's a sneak peek!

Have a Blessed Day!

Sylvia

Sometimes I prefer the "staycation" variety better than the going away kind :)

If you are going to have a sale, spring is the time to do it! Wise not to wait till the heat of summer.

Oh I am jealous! That is an ocean beach! How lucky you are, to have this near enough.

Your family picnic looks like fun. I hope your roses will do great on the arbor. Beautiful color choice.

Hello, So glad you enjoyed the time away, and it does look like you got so much stuff done. The roses will be so nice!
Also, people will do the craziest things, jumping into a river or pool can be very dangerous. Looking forward to hearing about your next vacation away from home (smiles)
Blessings, Roxy

Looks like you had a very fruitful staycation. The weather must already be so warm as you are all in short sleeved tops and shorts. Here we are much warmer than winter but the weather to enjoy summer clothing is not yet here. I don't really mind as I like moderate weather. Enjoy the rest of your week!.

Glad you had an enjoyable staycation. Your arbor with the climbing roses will be beautiful and such a focal point in your backyard. You did a lot of planting! It's such a good feeling to work in the yard after a long winter. Very invigorating! Look forward to hearing where you're vacationing next.
Take care,
Nora

Hi Sylvia,
It seems like you got a lot done on your staycation. I'm looking forward to seeing your climbing roses on your beautiful arbor. I can see you're going to the beach, but where? I guess we'll find out soon!

I love those STAYCATIONS, Sylvia....especially if I can get things done. That climbing rose should be just gorgeous on that arbor once it takes off. I see a beach...but WHICH ONE?

Thanks for the visit today- I appreciate it! xo Diana

I see you had lots of wares for the sale but did you buy anything from another vendor? Sometimes can come home with as much stuff, just different. :-)
