What I Am UP Too !

I have been painting !
This is the before and after of the back railing, that goes to the Patio. There is a slight slope, so us "olden" folk needed something to hold on to.

This is the before and after of the front steps railings.  After we moved in the first of the year our Son-in-law and grandsons built these railings for us. God Bless them!
Now the porch needs painting, but it will have to wait.

In the bottom right corner of this photo, a pot was broken in half , so I laid it on the ground on the broken side, then planted begonias at the top of it...I've seen this done before and when it has grown, it looks really pretty.

Here I have several potted plants and a hanging basket of an asparagus  fern. I have a double hanging pole but can't decide if I want flowers or ferns to hang on it.
For now I have a camper bird house on one side and a teapot- teacups chime on the other.

I always have to have some Moss Rose in my garden, here it is, still in it's pot from the nursery, hopefully I'll get it planted soon.

I do enjoy a beautiful garden but mine has a long way to go...to be beautiful! It takes time and this is the first year for this little one. I won't be able to do much in it for a couple of weeks..

Next week I will be having surgery.
I will be away for awhile from blogland, I hope to be able to visit your blog post. Please forgive me if I don't. I'll be back soon.

Be Blessed,
Until Next Time!
Sylvia

Mercy, you have been busy, busy. Oh, how I need to be painting....hopefully, when the weather gets a bit more stable (and warmer) I can get to that chore. Yours looks great, and all the pretty flowers...I'm itching to get in the dirt, too!!! Prayers for your surgery....when you feel like it, let us know how you're doing. Thanks for linking up with me, Sweet Lady. HOPE you have a great weekend!

I love being outside this time of year. So much new growth and so much planning for more things to plant. I love being on the porch with lush green plants and flowers around me. We haven't done as much this year as in the past, but we still have enough to enjoy. Pray your surgery goes well, blogland will miss you!

Sylvia, I think all steps need rails...just for the safely of others even. I like the little corner of your porch for sitting out. Your gardens are going to be full of flowers. Love that. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Good job on the painting. You will have some loveliness to enjoy as you recuperate from your surgery. I pray that all goes well on that and we will see you back sooner than you expect.

Your railings look great, Sylvia! I love being outside in the yard playing around in the dirt. :)
I have some plans for our rock garden this year, so we shall see if I get it accomplished. We will be going to Canada the first part of June and that is the best time for our planting around here, so it will depend on what I can find from the garden shops.
My prayers will be with you during your surgery and recovery.

Have a beautiful and blessed day~~
Debbie

Oh wow...surgery? Praying for you as you undergo this...may the Lord be with you and meet all of your needs and speed your healing along the way. Your yard is starting to really take shape. It takes a long time when you move...we've been here for 4 years, and still working on it.
