Yesterday my hubby I am visited Massee Lane Gardens. It was a pretty sunny day!
It is located about 45 minutes south of us, we enjoyed the drive since it was such a pretty day.
Let me tell you a little about it, then I'll just let you look at the photo's of these beautiful and sweet smelling Camellia's.
The gardens are maintained by the American Camellia Society for the education and enjoyment of visitors and it's members.
The 10 acre garden features one of the finest camellia collections in the world. It began as a private garden in the 1930's. Massee Lane Garden has served as the headquarters of the American Camellia Society since 1968.
Now we didn't walk the whole 10 acre's, that would have taken us forever a long, long time as slow as we get around.
It didn't take us long till we had to rest on one of the many benches!
Yes, you can but them, too!
Don't know the name of this, but it sure did smell good. The whole Garden smelled so sweet, I went down the paths, sniffing!!
I think this yellow Camellia was my favorite, along with the pink one I put on first!
I hope you enjoyed seeing these beautiful and sweet smelling flowers. I wish you could 'scratch and smell'. Oh well maybe you'll take my word for it! This was only half of the photo's that I took!

Have a Blessed Day!

Good Morning, Sylvia. I have always wanted to visit here. Thank you for sharing these pictures. The yellow camellia is a beauty and I love the paths and benches. I think the one plant might be Daphne - it has a great fragrance, too. Hope you have a nice day and upcoming weekend. xo
The scented shrub is a Daphne Odora, I have always had it in my gardens as it creates such a lovely scent.
Our Camellia are just coming into flower here.
Thank you for the sunshine and beauty. We could use little of the former around here these days.
Oh,what a beautiful place to visit. I'm going to see how far away from us it is. You took some really pretty photos. Thanks so much for sharing and being patient with me to get the linky fixed. Hope you have a great weekend!
What a wonderful place to spend the day, the flowers are gorgeous. I can only imagine the aroma in the air!! Thanks for taking us along with you on your visit. Have a wonderful day!!
Oh my! How beautiful! Looks like a place I would love to visit.
Oh wow! That is a beautiful place. I'd love to go there. I didn't know so many camellias had a fragrance. Many of ours here do not, but I do have one bush that is fragrant. I am starting to grow several different ones in my yard, and I just love them. Wish they bloomed year round, but then we wouldn't appreciate them as much! Thank you for sharing this lovely spot. Is it near you?
Gorgeous photos Sylvia. I can't choose which one I like best. Would be great to be able to visit there myself. Have a lovely day and weekend
Oh such beauty! That is a gorgeous place to visit and the fragrance must have been delightful.
I loved the pink one, of course. :-)

Oh, Syl - how lovely! You do the neatest things!!
Just seeing flowers in bloom is such a treat - it stays winter here for so long.
Thanks for the beauty; how I long to walk those bricked paths leading to loveliness!
