Monday Breakfast on the Porch

I've started this on Facebook, where I have my tea on the porch.
It's fun to read all the comments from friends
that love tea or coffee and what kind they are drinking.
I do drink coffee but for now I am trying to cut back on it.

I am also trying to cut back on my sweets, breads, potatoes and pasta.
I have lost 7 lbs and am stuck there,
if anyone has any suggestion on how to get to losing again,
I sure would love to hear them.

This morning with my breakfast of cheese eggs and bacon,
I had Scripture Tea.
The scripture on the tea tag was:

"Cast all your cares on Him, for he cares for you".
1 Peter 5:7

Yesterday afternoon my 12 year old grandson,
got to play his guitar,
with a real live band, as his recital.
He kept up with them and did a great job,
only to have been taking lessons for a short time.
I had a photo, but for some reason google decided
to mess up and wouldn't post it! 😞

Have  a Blessed Day!

Sylvia, Almost sounds that you are doing low fat and carbs kind of diet. It truly works. Maybe a small walk each day, or if you can not walk some leg lifts every time you sit down. Just ten or so, each time.
There was an older lady who lived near me in town. She sometimes watched my girls , when I needed an extra eye or two. When she passed away, her nephew told me to choose something to remember her by. I chose a plaque that had that verse on it and I have used that verse so much all these years. I get up each day, think on my problems , then pray on them and hand them to God.
It's so fun to know our children or grandchildren love music enough to learn to play an instrument. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

My husband and I ate breakfast on the deck on Saturday morning. What a delightful way to start our day! Its hot here the next few days so I'm on my way out to mow the property then I'll come in for some A/C and unsweetened iced tea!

Have a great day, Sylvia!

Hope you find an answer to help you continue dropping the pounds. I need to do the same, I'm one of those stop and start dieters, which is absolutely worthless! lol I saw a clip on facebook of your grandson playing with the band, he did great!! Hope you have a good day, we have rain in our forecast....again!

Sounds like a wonderful way to start your morning! Little walks might do the trick or maybe a protein smoothie in the afternoon. I've quit eating wheat, lost about 7 pounds too and then it all stopped. But I feel great! Good luck with your new diet plan.

Enjoy your week Sylvia!

Hugs, Amy

Love having tea on the porch with you each morning! As far as losing weight goes...I don't know what to say. I try to eat more fruit and fresh vegies/salad during the day, but have a regular meal at supper. Some mornings we have eggs and sausage, but most mornings we have wheat toast with peanut butter and apple butter (or bananas). I don't drink sweet iced tea (and I don't use artificial sweeteners either), nor do I drink any kind of soda. I do put one teaspoon sugar in my hot tea, however, or honey. Exercise is vital...walking is my only real exercise, and now that I am still recuperating from surgery I haven't been able to do much walking as my legs are still too weak. But I do try to get outside at least once a day and walk around the yard (and take pictures). I guess everyone's metabolism is different, and you have to find what works for you. I try to avoid desserts as much as possible, but treat myself to some ice cream every so often...and maybe a cookie...or two... Good luck...and I'll be praying for you!!

Just eating outside is a treat!! Well, I think what you have cut out will help you lose inches not just pounds, so maybe look at it in a different light! You will get your blood sugar down from stopping those foods! But I have stopped eating wheat and that really took many things out :o) Blessings, Roxy

I love to eat on our porch or enjoy a cup of coffee/tea there. John is diabetic and we are trying so hard to cut back on carbs. I know you are super proud of your grandson!

I missed your grandson playing with the band. I don't get on Facebook as much as I did since I deleted the app from my phone. I do see your posts about tea on the porch occasionally...so peaceful! Congrats on the weight loss....I bet you're just stalled, but will start losing again soon! Happy Tuesday!

Good job on the weight loss, Sylvia...7 ponds is nothing to sneeze at! I think everyone hits a plateau every now and then. I do low carb mostly too but just need to limit portion sizes. Your breakfast looks yummy!
