Christmas Time Anniversary

Can you imagine anyone getting married
this close to Christmas. I'm sure lots have and
we did. Yes, today December 20, 1963.
That's 54 years ago today!

This photo was taken a few months after we married.
With 6 children, my parents couldn't
afford to give us a wedding, so there were no
photo's. This was probably taken with one of
those throw away cameras.

Isn't my hubby cute, my have we both changed.

This is us in 2009

I believe this was in 2012

This was taken a few weeks ago.

There's been lots of good times and some
not so good, but by the grace of God we'll
keep counting the years!
Today we will spend most of the day at his
doctors appointment an hours drive away.
We'll have a nice lunch in one of our favorite places to eat,
then drive the hour back home.

Since our Anniversary comes during the week,
I had a little get together with family, although some couldn't come,
because they work on the
weekend also.
I made, or bought :

Red Velvet Cake

Place setting

Mini cupcakes

I made Piggy in the Blankets
and
3 Cheese Quiche

Cream Cheese Cake
and I made
Peanut Butter Fudge
I got the recipe from
Diana at
nanadianatakesabreak,
you can get her recipe
by clicking on her name.
It sure was good and easy
to make.

Have a Blessed Day
and
Merry Christmas!
Sylvia

A continued Happy Anniversary. If you are like us we have changed both inside and out in many ways over the years; yet that same young couple still lives inside.

Happy Anniversary, Sylvia. I loved seeing the pictures of you and husband through the years. What Yummy goodies you made to celebrate the day. I've seen the peanut butter fudge over at Diana's blog. And that red velvet cake looks amazing. Wishing you both joy in the new year.
