Christmas Time Anniversary

Can you imagine anyone getting married
this close to Christmas. I'm sure lots have and
we did. Yes, today December 20, 1963.
That's 54 years ago today!

This photo was taken a few months after we married.
With 6 children, my parents couldn't
afford to give us a wedding, so there were no
photo's. This was probably taken with one of
those throw away cameras.

Isn't my hubby cute, my have we both changed.

This is us in 2009

I believe this was in 2012

This was taken a few weeks ago.

There's been lots of good times and some
not so good, but by the grace of God we'll
keep counting the years!
Today we will spend most of the day at his
doctors appointment an hours drive away.
We'll have a nice lunch in one of our favorite places to eat,
then drive the hour back home.

Since our Anniversary comes during the week,
I had a little get together with family, although some couldn't come,
because they work on the
weekend also.
I made, or bought :

Red Velvet Cake

Place setting

Mini cupcakes

I made Piggy in the Blankets
and
3 Cheese Quiche

Cream Cheese Cake
and I made
Peanut Butter Fudge
I got the recipe from
Diana at
nanadianatakesabreak,
you can get her recipe
by clicking on her name.
It sure was good and easy
to make.

Have a Blessed Day
and
Merry Christmas!

Sunday Morning Inspiration

"He will cover you with His feathers & His
faithfulness will be your shield".
Psalm 91:4

Hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for
Christmas. I am having some health problems
but  getting better, still have to keep going, not
enough to keep me from doing what I have to
do though.

Have a Blessed Sunday!

This Weeks Tablescape

Friday was my Anniversary, so this week I've used my white and gold dishes.

I took the boutonnieres of my grandson's, they wore at our Anniversary ceremony, and place them on the napkins.

I don't use my silver often but for this week I thought it was appropriate.  It's International Silver ~ Silver Lace

The Savannah Glassware with roses on them are a favorite of mine.

And of course I could not forget to use my new 50th Anniversary Teacup for girls gave me.

And after a week my flowers are still Beautiful, White Roses and Lillie's!

It's been a very good week.
I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
and
Happy New Year!

I will be taking a break from blogging, today is Cookie Baking Day with all my grandchildren.  The day after Christmas I will be going on a trip with 2 of my sisters.

Be Blessed

My Small Town

My small town may  be small but it was voted one of "America's Best Small Town's".
I often go to other towns that I enjoy but this week I decided to shop in the town where I live. I live in the County but that's ok and good!  My daughter met me and her daddy and we spent the day shopping and had lunch together.

This is the Courthouse. Isn't it decorated pretty!

This is my favorite store.

In front of store.

We just stepped inside, what a Great place.

Look what caught my eye!!

Had to have it!

"Spode" Christmas Time
This is my first piece of it, but won't be my last!
Diana over at http://thenanadiana.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-spode-story-and-monkeying-around.html posted pictures of her collection. Take a look, she has a large collection.

When I got home I had to have my tea in it.

Enjoying the morning. Hope you're having a

Blessed One!

Let the Decorating Begin!

I was at the Dairy Queen yesterday and they had this Santa painted on their window.  I just had to take a picture of it since it looked so cute.

I think I have gotten about finished with my decorating.  I have three sets of Christmas dishes and having trouble deciding on which one to set out.  My tree is decorated and finished.  I have always had a 7 to 10 foot tree, but this year I chose to put up the 4 ft. one.

We were out shopping this week and saw this fiber optic angel and I just had to have her. (I really didn't want to go through 50 dozen boxes to find mine).

I love angels, here are a some photo's of my decorations.

I always have to put a small tree in the Den with candy canes on it.  They will all be gone when the grands come for a visit. But that's the reason for them,,,gotta keep the grands SWEET!

I even decorated Madi, but she wasn't so happy about having a Jingle Bell necklace and cap on.

HAPPY DECORATING
