Friday Foto Friends and Enjoying Spring

Yesterday was such a pretty day,
so we packed up and went to our
favorite state park and had a picnic.

The water there is so calm and nice.
I am getting to that place in my life
that I enjoy calm and quiet.

I live in a historic neighborhood and
although it's quiet most of the time,
it's good to get out in the countryside. I am
a country girl at heart.

This is the street I live on. It's homes are all
cottages built in the late 20's and 30's.
The street is lined with dogwoods and Oak trees.

Although mine next to my house is dropping it's blossoms, the ground looks like snow.

My Hosta is so pretty.

I love Spring when all the plants and flowers start to bloom!
My Redbud tree is starting to bloom too.

Today it's going to be 80 degrees, we plan to get out and enjoy the warm weather again. Tomorrow's forecast is 83 degrees, oh but
Sunday it's going to rain and turn cooler again, 65 degrees is the high.
Enjoy it when we're blessed with it, is what I say!

These are some of the photo's I took this week.

Do something special for someone today
and
Be Blessed!

I'm glad you were able to get out and go to that beautiful park. Loved the pictures. Your street is so pretty. I love the older homes and the established dogwoods and trees. Very picturesque! Enjoy your lovely spring weather while you can!!!

Such a lovely day away, good for you!
Your neighborhood looks beautiful with those matured trees and to live in an older home...perfect.
Our home (cabin by the creek) as I call it was built in the early 1900's, though it has been remodeled it is still as it was back then foundation wise. Years ago when my daughter's were young, we had a visitor and it was a lady in her 90's who was one of 11 children who lived in our cabin. Potatoes and lettuce were grown on this property back then.
Enjoy your beautiful weather~

Sylvia, Having a picnic in April, sounds so fun. I like where you had that picnic too. You live on a very pretty street. Love the homes and trees. Wishing all flowering trees could keep their blooms longer, but I will admit all the petals on the ground make me smile.. Blessings for a sweet weekend, xoxo, Susie

I love that you and Curtis went on a picnic. The park is so pretty, a lovely place to regroup and refresh. The street where you live is so inviting, it also looks like a great place to live. I really enjoyed all the pictures today. We have a front coming through tonight, heavy rain and wind. I've set out some new plants, hope the wind doesn't blow them away. {{sigh}}

Oh Sylvia, I so enjoyed your photos on Facebook of your picnic. It is so pretty there. Our forecast is similar, only it will be a little colder. It would be so fun to live in the historic neighborhood like that. I think here they have become so popular that they are quite out of our price range. Love driving down those streets.

Beautiful neighborhood and I love the houses! I enjoyed seeing the tree blossoms. Not much blooming here by the Jersey seashore yet, just the odd Forsythia, etc. But it has been too cold.

You live on a lovely street. Your dogwood tree photos are so beautiful. How nice to visit the lake, when it is quiet and calm. We like to go places during the week when the crowds are not there! I have enjoyed porch sitting the last couple of days. I do dread the upcoming rain and colder temps.

Such pretty springy fotos, Ms. Sylvia. I like the quiet, too, but my life seems to be getting more hectic. Prayers appreciated as I deal with my Mom's ALZ. 😔

I love the view of your street. It looks like my hometown did back in Georgia. Everyone had pretty flowering trees and plants. Thank you for sharing your photos!

Sylvia, I loved reading about the area where you live. Sad to say they don't plan communities like the street you live on anymore. SO pretty with the trees that line the streets! I understand what you mean about enjoying the calm and quiet! Glad you were able to get out for a picnic at your favorite state park.

Oh, how pretty! We woke up to snow today and it's so cold for April. Only got to 35! You live on a lovely street, and oh, how lovely a picnic in 80-degree weather sounds! xo Deborah

Nice streetview. Love your houses, they are so special for me. And what a nice plant (Hosta). How long do you have this one. It's seems to be so large!
