Monday TeaTime

Awe, another Monday!
This month is going by fast. I am usually up early every morning, no matter what day it is!
Got my laundry going early so I could enjoy the day.  Stopped to have a break with a cup of tea and an orange roll.

I have come to love the taste of orange lately.
I take honey in my tea. This morning I am enjoying Twinings English Breakfast tea.

Using my Moss Rose serving tray and cup, makes it a little more inviting. I hope to plant more of this pretty rose here at my new home.
I had company over the weekend, family and friends coming to see where I've moved and see the new place.

Two of my son-in-laws and two of my grandsons came and built hand rails for the front porch and down the slope at the back door. They don't want us falling, so they said. It is a great help and they did a great job, even put solar lights on this one.

The slope is slight in the back, but in our 'olden age' we aren't as stable as we use to be.

I am excited about working in this area this Spring, bringing it alive with pretty flowers. I want to rework the pavers also. Can you see the little white daffodil blooming?

Hopefully I can paint the porch too! Sure needs it.

Have a Blessed Day!

Sylvia

Yum, your sweet roll looks so good! You'll have so much fun, tiring fun I'm sure, tweaking your new home and making it really 'yours.' The guys did a great job on the railings, they really look nice. Yes, we do have to be more careful in our 'moldy oldy' years. Hope you have a wonderful day full of blessings from above.

What a nice tea, Sylvia, with such a pretty plate and cup! That was so nice of the boys to build the rails for safety, and so very thoughtful, too. I know it's going to be fun to work in your new yard.

Winter is the perfect time to dream, make plans for the garden and sip tea. I've always taken honey in mine too Sylvia and I find most restaurants can accommodate me.

What a wonderful and tasty way to start your day! I think the taste of orange really complements black teas. The railings are such a nice gift and so handy and important during icy and rainy days. Flowers will look lovely around your porch. Now which ones to plant?

So wonderful when our younger male family members look out for us "old folks at home", literally. That was very sweet of them to build the handrails for you. That is a wonderful gift. I love your teacup/saucer and the orange roll. Looks delicious! Yes, I saw the little daffodil trying to bloom already! This winter has been strange...flowers blooming when they probably should be still "hibernating". I know you will enjoy your home in the spring when you can start putting your green thumb to work making your garden grow. It will be beautiful. One day at a time. Just take time to relax and enjoy and don't get too anxious. Enjoy your time together and explore your new surroundings. Be blessed my friend.

A sweet orange roll and cup of tea sounds a lovely way to start the day. I like to drink tea first thing in the morning, it just starts the day off right. Coffee occasionally during the day but tea again in the evening. The boys did a good job of the railing, a thoughtful thing to do for you.

Lucky you to have such handy SILs and grandsons! I've had cinnamon rolls before, but not orange rolls. I rarely sweeten my tea, but when I do, I prefer to use honey too!

Sylvia said...

Margie, they are Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls with orange glaze.

Sylvia, I am so happy for your new home - I know you will be making it so pretty outdoors!

I cannot even believe you have a daffodil blooming when it is so so so in the middle of winter here! it will be months before we see a daffodil! My word that just is amazing to me!

Your orange roll looks so good, I am hungry (skipped dinner and it is 2am) and I think I may have to go make something. : - )
