MY LIFE IS A STORY

"This is the day the Lord hath made"
Psalm 118:24

Shortly after my first 3 grandchildren were born, I was blessed with watching after them as their parents worked.  I loved to read to them, so I kept lots of children's books, in my guest room that I used for them to play, sleep and just enjoy in.  I loved it when they would bring me a book to read to them, they would look, point to pictures, listen as I read and waited eagerly to turn the page to see and hear what came next.

I would love to think maybe I had a good influence on their lives at this early age.  Do we ever think of our lives, as we live it every day and how others read us like a book, and the influence we have on their lives. Our lives do tell a Story! There are people watching us and reading what we say or do by our attitudes  and actions.

So what is the story we are telling, is it one of forgiveness, mercy, Love and compassion!
The Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 that we as followers of Jesus Christ, are a story or letters "known and read by all men".
So as God's follower and storyteller, let us with His grace be one of His great storytellers!

O Lord, I love you and want my life to
tell the story of your love, mercy
 and forgiveness.
Teach me and use me in ways
 to serve you!
Amen

May your day be filled with His Blessings!

That is beautifully said Sylvia. I was just listening to a minster talk on this very subject last night! That is it exactly; right? We are the living embodiment of Christ if we choose to live it and except it. I have gone for years and not realized it just in that way. Have a great week.

What a beautiful message you've shared, Sylvia! Mercy and forgiveness are soooo important in our lives. Why is it so hard for people to find that in their hearts? Thank you for sharing your post with us.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful reminder, Sylvia! The people in our lives are reading and watching us. We must always ask ourselves if it is God writing our story or if we are trying to write it on our own.

Sylvia- What a beautiful story you tell here. You are so right- we live our stories every day of our lives and it is there for others to read as well. Love that you had such hands on with your sweet grandkids. xo Diana

It is so true, our lives are an open book to all those around us. Great message, something to always be aware of....actions speak louder than words! Hope you've had a blessed day!

Yes, we really do need to be aware that others just watch our everyday actions and judge us accordingly. Take care.

Amen! My prayer as well. Yes, our lives do tell a story, whether we write it down or not...people are watching and drinking in what we do, or don't do. I pray that others will see Jesus living in me, and that He will increase as I decrease. Thank you for this lovely post today. Your life is a beautiful story.
