Lake Getaway

Last week hubby and I took a few days and rented a cottage on the Lake at Indian Springs State Park. It was so good to get away and enjoy peace and quiet. There were 10 cottages and we were the only ones there. No cars or other loud noises!

There were lots of porch sitting (or rocking)!

Tea drinking and Coffee!
Do you see the Lake through the trees!

This is how close we were to the water!
Right in the back yard!

We went to the Whimsical Botanical Gardens just a few yards from the Park Entrance.

We were really tired from walking up and down the hills but did enjoy it.

We entered here through the door of this building.
There were 3 frogs and 3 little piggy's to welcome us.

There were the cutest little animals in the children's area. Turtles, Roosters ,frogs, turkey's and lots of other animals like these below.

As we continued rounding the path to the top of the hill we found a very pretty English type garden.

There was a large Gazebo filled with Rocking Chairs!! We spent a long time here!

And a cute smaller Gazebo with a rocking horse for children...so cute!

We were up every morning to welcome the sun!
At night we would sit and watch it as it went down!

Sometimes we get in a rut and need a change of scenery, just take a few days and find a place where you can breathe the fresh air and enjoy nature. It's God's gift to us.

Have a Blessed Day!
Sylvia

Wow, Sylvia, that sounds absolutely delightful! A cottage at the lake is sure to be the perfect medicine. Glad you had a good time. And I'm glad to see there were lots of rocking chairs. They're my favorite.
