Out looking for color and a Birthday

It was a special day on Tuesday!
My last grandchild turned
13!

Now all my grandchildren are teenagers!
Well, except for one and he is 21!
WOW, we are getting older!
I refuse to say OLD!

Hubby and I went to visit our daughter, Gina, and to take our grandson to his favorite eating place. He was in school so we
sat on her back porch, enjoying the afternoon
till it was time to leave to pick him up.
They have a lot of land so we thought maybe
the trees had turned their beautiful colors for fall.

It's really pretty there, but, I have seen better color in the past years.

When it was time for our grandson, Aaron, to get out of school for the day, my hubby and I left to pick him up.

This was the only tree that had started to change color at the school, but not much color.

While we were waiting in the car line,
two young boys came out.
We watched them as they carefully
lower the American Flag.
It took them a while to do this, guess
they didn't want to have to go back to
class.

When Aaron came out after the school bell rang, (brought back memories)
we took him to his favorite place to eat...

Subway!

It was a pretty day for a drive and time well spent with our daughter and grandson! Priceless!

Grandchildren
and
This Day the Lord has given me!

Have a Blessed Day!

That sounds like a perfectly wonderful day, Sylvia. Your grandson is so cute! He looks like a happy, smiley sort of boy.
We have grandkids from 23 down to 3 so have a ways to go before they are all teenagers. Hope you have a great day. xo Diana

What a great way to celebrate Aaron's birthday! Funny that he would choose Subway...but hey, he's a teenager, and that looks pretty good to him!! Perhaps you will have a late fall...since the leaves haven't quite turned yet. Something to look forward to perhaps at Thanksgiving. At least the trees aren't all bare already!! I am on borrowed time with hubby's laptop, so must get going. I'll try to keep checking in when I can. I don't like to miss everyone!!

Happy birthday to your newest teenager, Aaron. I have been keeping an eye out for color too, but it isn't easy right now.

What a sweet time with your grandson! We had almost no color here in Chicago. I think the early part of fall was SO dry, everything just turned brown and fell. Then we have had nothing but rain so it's all just mucky and gray.
