The week before Thanksgiving, every year the town of Warm Springs,Ga. has their Candle Light Tour. It is always so festive and really gets you into the Spirit of Christmas. There is one store that has a piano just inside it's door, on this night they roll it onto the sidewalk and Carolers dressed in period dress sings Christmas Carols. The decorations are always beautiful. They have candles that lines the streets. Since my hubby doesn't see well to drive at night, we didn't stay for the lighting of the candles, so I only got photo's in the day time.
Here are some photo's I took this year.
There is, or was a Tea Room there. A few years ago the owner closed it and moved to Florida. I always loved to eat there.
We ate at The Bulloch House Restaurant. It is a beautiful Victorian house that was built in the 1800's.
It's so easy to get all wrapped up in shopping, parties and all the glitter, but let's always remember the true meaning of the season.
"For unto you is born this day .. a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" Luke 2: 11 kjv
HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS SEASON

Happy Advent to you, too Sylvia!
You take the neatest day tours - one of these days I would love to visit you and see some of these awesome places. Always sad about a tea house closing, though, even though it was just retirement and not going out of business.
Have a wonderful week.
How down home beautiful! What a great way to start Christmas off!
What a delightful place to visit!!!
Same here, we don't go far anymore, because of my husband's deteriorated eye sight. And even around town, I drive home, if we are out after dark. Which isn't much, actually. But even going to an early dinner, at 4PM, can result in darkness going home.
No one re-opened that Tea Room???? Wow, I'd think someone would have. I'd think someone would have been happy to buy the business, from the retiring former owners. Myyyy yes! Bet it was a delightful and busy place...
My wish is that none of us, get caught up in, what I refer to as "The Christmas Machine." The holiday pressure to buy, buy, buy and do, do, do and run, run, run, etc. No matter what our religious feelings are, it seems silly to let "The Christmas Machine" get a-hold of us....
Btw, it got that phrase from the book, by the name of "Unplug The Christmas Machine." It is a super read! To give people the courage to buck-the-trends of this Holiday Season.

These are wonderful and very enjoyable pictures. I lived in Georgia for a year. I remember going to Stone Mountain at Christmas. Thanks for sharing such beauty.
