Practicing for Valentine Tea

It's been years since my mother passed on, but there isn't a day that I don't think of her.  I have her bible, she read and studied it often. I found this vintage valentine in it. It was given to her by a friend before she was married to my father in 1940.  The signature  was written in pencil and faded so I couldn't make out who it was
from.

This Saturday I am having my three girls and two granddaughters for  a Valentine Tea.  Today I was trying out a few things to see if I wanted to use them in my menu.  I think they turned out pretty good.

"Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it". Proverbs 22:6

I'm sure this verse isn't talking about Tea but I'd like to think it's a way of teaching them the importance of finding time for each other.

I had to try them out!  I bought the large camp size marshmallows and melted white and milk chocolate. I dipped them in the white chocolate first and let them harden and then drizzled the chocolate over them.  I put sprinkles on some and candy hearts.

Even tho the weather temperature is near 70, it is still a good day for a cup of Tea.

" Thank God for Tea! What would the world do without Tea?
How did it exist?  I am glad I was not born before Tea".            ..Rev. Sidney Smith.

Wishing you a Blessed Day,

Sylvia

Your heart/love/amore tray is so pretty. It looks great with the pink vase, teapot, and rose mug. Your treats sound good. I like marshmallows and I have a confession: sometimes I grab and eat marshmallows straight from the bag. :)

I think your Valentine Tea is going to be a hit and oh so special! I'm going to have to try making those marshmallows, they look yummy! My mom in law is throwing me a Valentine/Birthday Tea tomorrow and then my dear friend is throwing me one on my actual Birthday which is Valentine's Day. So, I'll be partying the rest of the month. :) I love tea too! Almost every day at 3, my mom in law and I have hot tea and wonderful conversation. That just makes my whole day happy!

I hope you enjoy your family and have a wonderful Tea Party! They are so worth it, down to the last sip.

Blessings,
Amy
