Trip to Peach Farm

On Monday hubby and I decided to visited a peach farm nearby that we hadn't been to before. We picked up a friend to go with us, she is a recent widow and doesn't get out much. They sell ice cream too! I got a strawberry ice cream cone, she and my hubby got the peach cone.

Of course I had to get some peaches also. Yesterday I made a cobbler out of them.

After filling our bowls, this is all that was left.

Looks like the two of us ate a lot! We did!

Peach Cobbler is one of my favorite desserts and of course it is even better with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Here is my recipe if you would like it.

Peach Cobbler

1 stick butter
Sliced peaches
1 cup Flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk

Place butter (I use real butter) in baking dish at 350 degrees and melt .
Mix flour, sugar, salt together, add milk and stir well.
Pour into baking dish over butter.
Place peaches in mixture but do not stir.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

When I use can peaches I use a large can. When using fresh peaches,I use 5 or 6 large peaches.

Enjoy and have a Blessed Day!

I just made a peach pie yesterday. Nothing like fresh peaches!! My mom made cobblers and they looked almost as delicious as yours! Thanks for the recipe. I'll give it a try.

Sylvia, That all sounds so yummy. Our mother used to make peaches and dumplings..it was always so good when we were young and wanted something sweet. You are so very kind to take your friend along. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Mmmm...doesn't that look wonderful! Cobblers are one of my favorite desserts, and peach anything is delicious. My grandson and I made a cherry and peach pie this week. I was teaching him how to make pastry and pies and it was a delightful day.

Have a beautiful day, sweet friend~~

Peach cobbler is always a tasty treat when the peaches are in. Your recipe looks much easier than mine so I will have to give it a try.

Your peach cobbler looks soooo tasty, Sylvia. My late beloved and I could polish off a strawberry pie in two days by ourselves!!
