A Special Day

"This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 118:24

The Lord my God has blessed me in so many ways that I can't count. Yesterday He blessed me with another birthday. (71st).   Don't know why it's hard to say those years out loud, it is a blessing to have lived that long. Blessed with soon to be 53 years married to the father of 3 beautiful girls and 6 precious grandchildren...and I must add 3  great son-n-laws!
On my Special Day yesterday, my girls took me to Tea at Serendipity House B&B

It's a beautiful house built in 1918.

Loved the wrap around porch. It had several tables and of course rocking chairs.
Once inside we were greeted by the owner and her daughter. They were friendly and welcomed us in, then escorted us into the dining room.

The house was decorated with eclectic pieces, in mid-century modern style with some vintage. Just what I love, teacups everywhere.

Lovely plates and tea cups with pink roses on them.

This was my tea cup.

In this teapot was Mango Tea. It was so good that I didn't need to sweeten it.

But then with all these sweets, who needs sugar or honey in their tea!

Before the sweets were brought out we enjoyed the best ever 'Loaded potato soup" and my favorite Chicken Salad croissant!

Now it is a Bed and Breakfast, but with reservations you can enjoy this delicious meal, with some of your loved ones or friends.

  We sure did!

Of course there were gifts, like this teapot my daughter bought me when she was at Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas last month!

These cute earrings from another daughter!
And gift cards to my favorite restaurants!

Me and my beautiful granddaughters in front of the B&B.
And you know I couldn't leave without rocking in those rocking chairs!

It was truly a Special Day and I
was surely Blessed!

Hope your Day is a Blessed one!
Sylvia

Happy belated Birthday! What a sweet way to celebrate it - with friends and at a tea house. They are such fun, aren't they? I've been to a couple and you just feel so pampered there. Mango tea sounds wonderful! So glad you enjoyed your day.

Happy birthday wishes and congratulations on your anniversary. Looks like a delightful time at a delightful place. I feel very sure we visited this place and had lunch there several years ago when we did a tour of the south. I remember how delicious the food was. I think I'm going to pull out my pictures from that trip.

Oh, what a special day you had. I've never been to a "tea"....that's just awesome you got to share it with daughters and grand-daughters. I'm thinking that would be something very special to do with our daughter and sweet little grand-girl, too. I'm so glad you had such a great birthday celebration. I told somebody yesterday that I'm grateful that I'll be 62 in January so I can start drawing my SS....but, wish it was 65 so I could go on Medicare....LOL HOPE you have a wonderful Friday and get all the kinks worked out of your new computer!
