A Note from a Friend

This morning my granddaughter and I drove an hour and half to eat at a favorite Tea Room of mine that she hadn't eaten at.  When we got there we found that it had closed and will be reopened next week by a new owner.  The name of it will be, Paris in a Teacup,  I'm excited about that, the lady that told us said it would have a Parsian decor.  After shopping awhile and then driving the hour and half back home, I was really tired.  I picked up the mail from the mailbox and was greeted by a note from my friend Ginny, in Ohio.  Inside the card she had written a nice note and placed a teabag. It was a new one she had found and wanted me to try. Then she said "to make a cup and sit and relax and enjoy".  It was if she knew how I'd be feeling. So I did, and I really did enjoy it.

I had made a cake for Fathers Day so it went good with the tea.

 The Card

The tea was Ahmad Tea from London,England. It was a decaffeinated Evening Tea. I found it very smooth and lightly favored with bergamot.

I used  a teacup that I got at a yard sale a couple years ago.  I don't know the name or what kind it is since it didn't have anything stamped on the bottom, but it is very pretty.

The cup and saucer has a white rose with some pink accents on it.

There's a Rose inside the cup, isn't that neat!

All wasn't lost, when we were shopping in the antique store I found this crystal candle holder and candle for $6.00.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Sometimes friends just know when you need a little pick-me-up. Receiving the note and teabag was perfect timing.

Hi Sylvia,
What a lovely thing for your friend to do! The tea and note were perfect and the timing couldn't have been better. The new tea room should be wonderful with a Parisian flair. What fun it will be to visit! Thank you so much for coming to my party. Your presence has made it all the more special! I hope your first day of Summer is a delight.

Blessings,
Sandi

Ginny Sue is one thoughtful gal for sure.

That was very thoughtful of her - and perfect timing.

I am SO disappointed you drove all the way there to find it closed.....but it sure is nice what comes next, I bet!

Can't WAIT for you to go back and take lots of pictures to post about here!

Hugs.

I love mail call! Seems like our friends know just what to do and when! Sorry the tea room was closed, but it sounds like the new tea room is going to be a lot of fun ... a new adventure for you and your grand-daughter. Your teacup is lovely and I'll keep the tea in mind the next time I go tea shopping! Happy Tea Day!

Hi Sylvia,
I'm glad you were able to sit, relax and enjoy your tea after all that driving. The new tea room sounds very interesting. And the crystal candle holder that you found is precious.

I always love it when a friend does something special like sending a tea bag in a note...I try to do that also when writing to far away friends that I can't enjoy sharing tea time with in person, so we do it vicariously by sharing tea bags through the mail! That is still one thing we can't do through our online tea parties...but just the idea and the introduction to the new tea is a delightful thought today! I always enjoy finding new tea rooms...someday hope to have my own...but for now, this will have to do.
Enjoyed meeting you today! Your granddaughter is a lucky lady!
