Philippians 1:10 Be filled with the fruits of righteousness
As believers we are to be filled with the Fruit of the spirit, which is Love, and show that we have Love by doing good to others. I want to share with you how my day went yesterday, but I need to start with last month when my hubby and I got new glasses..now if you wear glasses you know how they will fall down your nose. Well this happened with ours, so we went back yesterday to have them adjusted. Afterwards we went to IHop for a late breakfast. While we were enjoying our meal I noticed a well dressed man sitting close by. He was looking at us every time I glanced his way. When I looked over again he had left, but to my surprise when we got to the register to pay for our meal, he was standing by the cashier at the register. He told the cashier that HE was paying for our meal, that we looked like "newly weds". My hubby couldn't believe it, but the man kept saying "I'm paying for your meal" so he smiled, shakes his hand and thanked him. He looked at me and I told him that next month we will be married for 50 years. (now I've told my age, I was 18 when we married) He said that we still look like "newly weds". Then he told us that he works for IHop.
I hear alot about people "paying it forward", but I'd never had it happened to me, now I will be looking for someone to "pay it forward to".
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

O, I love PAY IT FORWARD so much.
As I understand the Bible, when we do something good for someone else, we aren't to tell about it or brag. Is this how you understand it? We have paid for other people, too, but just pay and leave.
A friend and I were eating lunch one day and when we got ready to pay the bill, it HAD BEEN PAID by a very sweet "someone."
What a wonderful story. I have heard of this happening, but not known anyone it happened to. It would indeed make you want to go out and do this to someone.
How delightful a post, on all levels!
And what a compliment to the both of you! To look like 'newly weds,' with 50 years "under your belt."
Oh and your bowl of gorgeous red apples, is marvelous too.

THAT is a wonderful, wonderful story. It sounds like you two look like a happy couple together-that's why he thought you were newlyweds- xo Diana
Oh what a heart-warming story, Syl- how SWEET - wow, I totally love that happened to you both - you deserve that, and it sure does feel good, doesn't it?
I have heard folks doing it in drive thrus - like getting the car behind them, etc. - Never had it and never did it, but should and shall one day soon - esp for the holidays if there is a young mother with lots of kids or something.
Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.
That was so heart-warming! What a nice thing to do! One time, many years ago, my hubby and I were flying to a conference on the other side of the country. The flight attendant took a liking to us, and when we were getting ready to get off the plane, he handed us a bottle of champagne wrapped in cloth napkins, and told us to enjoy it as we also looked like newlyweds. We were quite amazed. Especially because we were going to a pastor's conference, and we didn't drink alcohol...but the thought was very nice...and we passed it on to someone who could enjoy it more than we could!
