It's TeaTime!

(picture from Capital Tea)

For my friends birthday last year, I had a Tea for her.  We live
miles apart and don't get to see each other often, so for her
birthday I invited her for Tea.

I made homemade chicken salad, with fruit and broccoli salad.
We enjoyed a glass of sweet peach tea and had it hot also.

The owner of the Tea Room that I love to go to nearby told
me how to make the teapot bread.  Just cut out the bread with
the cookie cutter and spread with melted butter and sprinkle
a little sugar on top.  Bake it in on 350 degrees until brown.
You may want to put it on a wire cookie sheet so it'll brown on
both sides.

This is my friend Runette,  her husband has cancer and is not doing
so well.  I wanted to honor her today.  She is on my mind and heart
these days and praying for her.

Have a Blessed Day!

Dear Sylvia,
What a lovely tea for your friend! I am sure she felt like a Queen. Everything looks delicious! I had a tea for a friend of mine not long ago and we hadn't seen each other in years. She told me she felt like a princess having the tea in her honour. It made my day. Thank you for sharing and you are most welcome to link up to my party. Wishing you a delightful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Thanks Sandi, and one day I will figure out how to link up to your party. I've tried a few times but somehow I always do one thing wrong. I just discovered today how to make my pictures larger, so it's one thing at a time I suppose. My friend told me she really felt special that day. We only see each other once or twice a year.

What a splendid and lovely tea for your sweet friend. Everything looks SO delicious and nutritious.

You are such a sweet lady to have done this for her,

There is nothing quite like having a friend to tea, is there?

Thanks for sharing, Sylvia. Have a wonderful tea day!

Hi Sylvia,
What a lovely tea you gave your friend. The food looks so yummy and pretty! Thanks for the tip about the bread, I'm going to try it soon as it looks so cute with the salad. Thanks for leaving your lovely comment about my tea! Wish you lived nearby so you could really come to tea!

What a wonderful gift for your friend. I believe you enjoyed it as much as she did! I know the memories of this special day will linger in her heart and mind and refresh her as she cares for her husband. This is what friends are for...to comfort one another and provide a respite from the difficult days of life. Everything was certainly lovely and so inviting. Your friend is blessed to have a friend like you! Thank you for sharing this with us. You have given me some inspiration.
