Waiting and Watching Patiently

I have this picture on my wall

that my sister gave me some

years ago.

I have looked at it so many times and loved it

for it's beauty. 

This morning, I looked at it differently!

I saw a woman waiting.  Looking out the

window, waiting there looking at something

or waiting on someone.  She was patiently

waiting. I wondered if she was watching

her children play, or maybe her husband

working in the yard, or maybe just admiring

God's beauty, in her garden. Maybe there was

something heavy on her heart that she was seeking

an answer for.

Have you ever prayed about something

and wondered, 'why hasn't my prayer been

answered'? 

Maybe our Father is trying to teach us to

be patient and wait on his timing.

Psalm 37:7 tells us to "Be still before the

Lord and wait patiently for him". 

Have you ever felt so tired 

or  "burned out" as some may say,

that you think you can't keep going?

 I'm sure we all have at times. 

We can grow tired of waiting.

Our mind and our bodies can

get tired from manual labor and 

mental strain.

Isaiah 40: 28 says

 "the Lord does not become weary or tired".

Verse 29, tells us that "He gives strength

to the weary"

As we wait on the Lord and trust in Him

for our needs, let's wait patiently on Him.

 As women and believers, we sometimes

feel like we are called on to do so much,

for our family and others, that we can 

become weary and tired from our load of 

responsibilities. Let's  trust our heavenly Father

 for strength and courage to handle our daily chores.

As the lady in the photo waits patiently and

watches over her home and families needs,

let us do the same, as unto the Lord God.

He will give us strength and rest for our

walk with Him.

Isaiah 40: 31

" those that wait for the Lord will gain new

strength,they will mount up with wings like

eagles, they will run and not get tired,

they will walk and not become weary."

  Dear Lord, when we become tired, remind us

of your inexhaustible stength. Help us to to be

patient and wait on you and your timing,in all

things. Amen

Spring is Blooming!

Finally, almost overnight, the trees are showing that Spring is here!  

Well at least tomorrow is the first day of Spring.

These Bradford Pear trees are on each side of a driveway to a house up the street from me. Seems like at every house  there are these tall beautiful trees in full bloom.

The beautiful colors of Spring are everywhere. Everything springs into life after a cold dead winter, I guess that's why they call it "Spring".

 

Yesterday, on our way to my hubby's doctor's appointment, we passed Dickey's farm, the Peach Orchard's were in bloom, like an ocean of pretty pink waves of blooming trees.

Aren't these Peach blossoms just gorgeous!! 

Oh and here is another Peach!

Happy St. Pat's Day!

I hope your day will be filled with sunshine and lots of Love!

This happy little flower sits and flaps it's leaves and moves it's head all day, it is solar powered, it brings a smile to my face when I look at it. It usually sits on my window sill in the kitchen, but today it is making me happy as I have my afternoon Tea break. 

 Irish Breakfast tea and cookies, always a treat.

Sometimes I take the tea bag out and other times I leave it in, looks like it got to stay this time!

How do you do yours?

Iced with green icing, these cookies are so soft they melt in your mouth.

Tea Garden and Tea

I was at the grocery store the other day and this Georgia Gardening magazine caught my eye, my hubby said, 'are you going to buy it' (knowing I am not able to garden much anymore).  I said"Yes."

It wasn't until later that I realized , without knowing it, why I was drawn to this magazine. On page 48, this is what I found!

Now I was really surprised to find an article about Tea!

I won't be able to tell everything it said about tea because this post would be too long. It said that tea is a refreshing beverage that contains no sodium, fat, carbonation or sugar..(unless you add it,of course). It is virtually calorie free and has been shown to have a wide variety of health benefits, including reducing some forms of heart disease and cancers.

Now pardon me as I run to the kitchen and make myself a cup of Green Tea!

Now I would love to have a 'tea garden' . I did plant fennel, mints, and other herbs. The mint, I planted in a pot since it's so invasive but it grew out the hole in the bottom and still took over my flower bed.

Some of the plants in this Tea Garden are:

Chamomile- it soothes anxiety and is easy to grow.

Rose hip- tea is high in vitamin C and can be effective for hives.

Strawberries- can be added for color, and adds flavor to herbal teas.

Mint- can increase focus and ease tension.

Fennell- is a natural carminative and aids digestion.

It also says to add unique herbs to your garden such as pineapple sages for color and blooms. They also add a dash of flavor to a tea you make yourself. To use herbs  use 1 teaspoon dry herbs per 1 cup of hot water.

I found this very interesting, now I want to grow a Tea Garden!

Guess I'll just wait until it gets warmer and someone can help me dig holes in my hard and rocky dirt. For now I'll enjoy my cup of "green tea" in my new Lenox cup I found while visiting an antique store last week, and be happy that I'm getting healthy.

See how great my cup goes with the magazine articale, it has a bee inside the cup. Bees are good pollinators in a garden.

I love the basket wave around the top of the cup. I was so excited when I found it.

A Sign of Spring!!

When walking through my living room this morning

I looked out the window and what did I see to my

surprise, it wasn't eight tiny raindeer, but three Robins!

I promise you they were Robins, their little chest were red!

There were 3 of them. I had to take the photo's through the window so it's hard to see their pretty RED chest.  After taking these two I went outside to see if I could get better ones, they flew away, guess they don't like their pictures taken!

Pinky Promise, Robins!!

I jumped for joy....ran to tell hubby, it made him happy too

but he didn't jump for joy, just smiled. Guess he isn't excited

as I am for spring to get here,huh!

First Spring Flowers

I stepped outside and to my surprise, I saw these 

daffodils and had to run and get my camera,

Spring is differently on it's way!

I think they may be multiplying!

A Nice Sunny Day

The sun finally decided to show itself! 

After so many long days of freezing temperatures,

we are now having some warmer days.

Yesterday it was 72 degrees here.

I had to go to Atlanta, so on our way home I called 

my grandson, he was just leaving his college classes.

We met him in town and had lunch.

It's a very pretty town, still with the 'old town' look but well kept up! The sun was shining so nice and warm. This is the train depot.

But I do want to share with you today, my pansy teacup!

I saw many pansies in bloom on our trip but it wasn't where

I could get a photo of them, so my cup will have to do for now.

It has a back stamp, but it is so small I couldn't get a good photo of it.

It says  "Duchess, fine bone china,England, Est.1885"

I love the bright colors, and gold trim.

Along with it I had to have desert and tea.

This is cheese cake with strawberries and whipped cream, we brought home from Longhorn's. My was it good and huge!
