FRIDAY FOTO FRIENDS

Recently we spent an afternoon with my sister, 

Linda and her husband Jack. We enjoyed sitting on her back deck.

The sky was a baby blue with cotton ball clouds.

Her poodle, Lexie, decided she wanted us to play ball with her. 

She will hold one ball in her mouth and with her nose push the other one to you so you can throw it.

Isn't she cute.

When the sun got a little hot for us, we went to the front porch.

We enjoyed porch sitting and chatting until we had to leave.

The clouds were just a pretty in the front, but for some reason they didn't show up in the photo.

Good Morning Thankful Thursday

Good Thursday Morning!

Today is a new day, full of new things

to be thankful for. I am thankful I woke up.
To lift my eyes upward and praise God for his faithfulness!

" I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from where my help comes".

"My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth".

Psalms 121:1-2

Monday Breakfast on the Porch

I've started this on Facebook, where I have my tea on the porch.

It's fun to read all the comments from friends

that love tea or coffee and what kind they are drinking.

I do drink coffee but for now I am trying to cut back on it.

I am also trying to cut back on my sweets, breads, potatoes and pasta.

I have lost 7 lbs and am stuck there,

if anyone has any suggestion on how to get to losing again,

I sure would love to hear them. 

This morning with my breakfast of cheese eggs and bacon,

I had Scripture Tea.

The scripture on the tea tag was:

"Cast all your cares on Him, for he cares for you".

1 Peter 5:7

Yesterday afternoon my 12 year old grandson,

got to play his guitar,
with a real live band, as his recital.
He kept up with them and did a great job,
only to have been taking lessons for a short time.
I had a photo, but for some reason google decided
to mess up and wouldn't post it! 😞

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful for this day and the blessings

that have been given to me.

Today 21 years ago I became a grandmother for the first time.
My grandson is very special to me,

he's always ready to help and do want he can at 

any time.

I am thankful for my family and friends!

They encourage and support me!

I am thankful for this day, the sun is shining and

all is good!

It's Wednesday, Keep Climbing

"Climb 'Till Your

Another Blessed Day!

I do still drink coffee from time to time,

but I am trying to cut back on it.

It's time to finish my daily (it does seem like it)

chore of washing and cleaning, then Porch Sitting  time.

Tea on the Porch

I enjoy sitting on the porch in the early morning listening to the birds sing. They seem to be much happier in the earlier morning hours, maybe it's like us, we're fresh and ready for the day, but as it goes on we get tired from our daily chores. That's when I take my cup of tea and go to my rocking chair on the porch.

 

It has been a few weeks since I posted on my blog. I needed time to rest and reflect, refocus on where I was going in life.

 

Last week two more of my grandchildren graduated from high school. They are learning that there's a life out there and will now focus on what to do with it.

Ephesians 2:10 

"We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good work, which God prepared in advance for us to do".

As our graduates begin to build on their life plans, as believers we too are to focus on how our life is being lived out. Are we living with selfish reasons doing as we please or are we seeking God's will.

My pray for them is to always seek to do that which is right and seek God's will, then they will have the joy and peace found only in Him.
