Be The Light

Last year we bought a rocking chair for our front porch.  It wasn't assembled!  It took us a couple of hours to put it together. All the pieces were there, along with the screws that were needed. We had the instructions, although they weren't very clear to us at times. We even got one of the rockers on backwards and had to start over.

Like the rocking chair, Life doesn't come with simple instructions. We can mess up and  become overwhelmed with difficult moments in each day that we face. But we don't have to face them alone. We can bring them to God.

Philippians 4: 6-7

"Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer bring your petitions to God, and His peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus."

It's been a very good holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas was great, but went by fast. Even in these times it can become overwhelming. I have such wonderful friends here and on Facebook along with friends where I live. They let their LIGHT SHINE by giving encouraging words, gifts and support. I am so thankful for my blogging friends.
I want to wish everyone a very Blessed New Year!

This is what the weather man is saying is coming to Central Georgia tomorrow night and Saturday!

Say it isn't going to be this much, Please!

I have tried to drop in on as many blogs as I could find time for during my break. I hope to be back posting more. I am having surgery on two of my toes next week and will have to stay off my feet for a few days, maybe I can sit at my computer and visit.

Until Next Time,
Be Blessed!

Sylvia

DELIGHTED to see you back, I missed you!! Great message, it's so comforting to know we have a God that takes our 'anxious' and turns it into His Peace! Hope you don't get snowed in...take pictures, it's the only snow I'll see! So glad you're back!!

Amen!!

That photo says one thing to me. The snow is reproducing!

:) I am in the South too. About to head out and buy water, bread, and milk. You need those things if it snows.

i've thought of it so much and have never figured out how people get thru life without knowing Jesus Christ...
I hope you don't get much snow...I'll take rain and love it to pieces...snow, on the other hand, is a whole different story...don't like it if I have to get out in it....

Yes, you do if you live in the south. All the selves will be empty soon!

Sylvia, Wow, even here in Indiana, I don't want to see that much snow. It is snowing now and has all morning...but it's the dusty kind. :) I will be praying for you while you get your surgery. I am ever so thankful that we have God , who loves us and will take care of us....we only need to ask. Wishing you a great new year friend, xoxo, Susie

Love this Sylvia! I can't live one minute without Jesus! I'm so glad he keeps an eye on me.

It's snowing here today and it's soooo cold out! I love the snow as long as I'm home. I do however, have to leave here soon to take my son to his driving class. If you can drive well in the snow, you are a good driver. ;)
I hope you get just the right amount of snow and you stay in and enjoy it from the window. ;)

I'll be praying for your surgery!

Hugs to you,
Amy

PS...you can take my word for the year and pause as long as you need!

I love the rocker analogy. I hope you don't get that much snow but a little might be nice. Hope you are having a great week.

Hi Sylvia, I'm hoping you don't get too much snow, be careful on the roads if you do. I pray that your surgery will go well and you'll be back on your feet in no time.

We do need to bring everything to prayer, it's so easy to slip up when life is going along okay. Thank you for the reminder.

Oh how exciting to be getting some snow...but I do hope it won't be too much or too difficult to navigate! I will be praying for you as you have your surgery! I guess you will be doing some "resting" for a while. We've missed your blogging, but am happy you had a good time with family over the holidays. That is what is most important. Please take care...and praying for a successful surgery!

So sorry to hear about the surgery on your toes. I'll be praying for you. My eyelid surgery is postponed til Mon. (if the roads are clear) I hate the waiting and I know you do to.
So thankful for your friendship thru blogging. God bless you.
