Dickey Farm Peaches

Yesterday, instead of staying home and doing what we do everyday, my hubby and I decided to take a drive to Dickey's Peach Farm, a 30-35 mile drive.  We've been wanting to go for some time now and get some peaches.

They have the prettiest and sweetest peaches.  It's
worth the trip just to watch the workers picking
out the best ones and how they are packed.

And you can buy what they have pulled or you
can drive around back and pick out your own
from the ones they didn't pick to pack, at a
lower price, like these people or doing.

Of course my hubby got the ones already picked
and placed in a nice box.

They even make homemade peach ice cream. You
can get a small sample or buy a cone.  I got a small
sample and almost forgot to take the picture before
it was all gone.

I  love the peach plates and other items they had
for sale.

I got home with my peaches and placed them on
the counter pretending I live on a farm.
(Oh the tomato's are off my bush)

Decided to make a cobbler!

So Yummy!!  Now have I made your mouth drool! There
are more where these came from.

Tea Snack with Anna

The last two days my 10 year old granddaughter, Anna, and her 7 year old brother Aaron, has been with me.  It's always a blessings to spend time with all my grandchildren and to see how they are growing. (TOO FAST for sure)  Anna asked if she could have a snack and of course I said yes,(an opportunity to have Tea)

I made her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I took out my teapot cookie cutters and cut out
her sandwich.  She had iced sweet tea, but I
couldn't resist putting it in my new teacup.

Here are my teapot cookie cutters, I use them
for other things instead of just cookies.

Now who doesn't love  PB&J!!

You can see by her smile that she was enjoying this
special attention.

She got to be the first to use my new teacup wth butterflies
on them. I found them last week on a trip to Marshall's. I
bought 2 at $4.00 each. I love a bargain.

They go good with the butterfly vase I already had.

I found this vase at a consignment store a couple
months ago for only $2.00

Love the butterfly and roses.

Butterflies flying around the saucer!

Hope you've enjoyed having Tea with Anna and me, we
sure enjoyed your visit with us!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

A Favorite Cup for Tea!

Here is a  cup that I like to use to have tea.  It is 4 inches high
and perfect the size for me.

You know it has to have pink and red roses on it!

The stamp on the bottom says "Gracie China"

It is simple but after all I am a simple lady that loves her roses,

Tea and teacups!

Independance Day Tablescape

My tablescape for the 4th is red, white and blue, with my "Ginny" 4th of July doll, by Vogue. She's a small composition doll.  I purchased her when I collected dolls some years ago.

She looks as if to say "When does the parade start"
as she holds her flag in her hand.

The bright festive colors puts me in a party mood, or maybe for tea!

One of my books on Tea.

My new plates and bowls go good with a tablesetting for breakfast or dinner.

On a visit to Pier 1 Inports last week, I found this teacup
salt and pepper shaker.

Here they are apart. So Cute!

Found this Teapot there also.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th!!

Thanks for visiting with me today.

Have a Blessed Day!

Demitasse Cups

One of my prized finds when I worked in a high-end gift shop some years ago was a couple Demitasse cups.  They are of the Allyn Nelson Collection.

Pink Roses being my favorite, a cup with them on it always catches my eyes first.
I love the shape of the handle also.

The gold rim around the edges adds that special touch!

And the roses on the inside of the cup!

The stamp on the bottom is hard to read, (and it's small)  one day I hope to upgrade to
a higher grade camera. My Nikon L24 will have to do for now.

My set of teaspoons with the teacup on the end
goes great when serving tea..makes
teatime more special.

This demi cup has purple violet's on it.

Thanks for visiting today, please come by again!
