Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for all of you that visited my granddaughter, Morgan's blog yesterday and left such sweet and encouraging words to her. I talked with her last night and she was so happy and thankful for each of the ladies that left a comment. It's hard theses days for teenagers to live their lives out for Christ. They do need all the encouragement they can get. Encouraging one another and praying for each other is a ministry to God!
Thanks!

"we will give ourselves continually to prayer,
and to the ministry to the word."
Acts 6:4

Have a Blessed Day!

True Riches in Blessings

I want to introduce you to one of my greatest blessings, my granddaughter!

Her name is Morgan
and she is blogging !
Her blog is  Life with Morgan

She graduated from high school with honors this past May, and is attending College.

She is a true blessing.

She's a young Christian lady involved in church, College and many other activities.
She enjoys painting in her spare time,
here's a painting I got from her last Saturday when
I helped her with her yard sale.

She does all types of paintings.

You can find her here.

I hope you'll hop on over and welcome her to blogging.

Have  a Blessed Day!

Tuesday Talk, A Bowl of Lemons

I remember when my now 15 year old grandson, JC and his sister Morgan, was spending the night with us.
He was around 7 at the time, and they always called their mother to say goodnight.
As he was talking to her, I heard him tell her
"maybe tomorrow we can make Lemonade, Grandma has lots of lemons".
I couldn't help but smile!
You see I kept a bowl of plastic lemons
on the table by the phone. As he hung the phone up I said "JC, the lemons are Fake, they aren't real".
He had to pick one up to see.

It's the same in life today.  In the media and all around us there's fake news, fake friends and  so much in today's society that isn't real.
Then how are we suppose to know what is the truth!
I believe we are to seek God and His truth, by reading His words to us in the Bible, praying and asking for His wisdom.

2 Timothy 2:15
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the truth."

"Show me thy ways, O Lord, teach me thy paths,
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me...."
Psalms 25:4-5

O Lord, today show me the way I show go, to follow you and always seek to live according to your truths!
Amen

Have a Blessed Tuesday!

The Mountains and the Valley

"The Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory."
Isaiah 60:19

"I remembered you, Lord,
and my prayer rose to you."
Jonah 2:7

In the world today, there's darkness everywhere,
troubles and conflict all around us.
There's hope for today found only in God!

Jesus came to give light to a dark world.

Matthew 5: 14-16
"Ye are the light of the world..." verse 14

"Neither do men light a candle, and put it
under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it
giveth light unto all that are in the house".
verse 15

"Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your father
which is in heaven." verse 16

"Oh Lord, in my darkness let me find your light,
Thank you that the darkness will not last, that you
are the light, help us to let your light shine in us,
that others may see you and come to you."
Amen

Have a Blessed Sunday!
