Gathering Grounds

There's a new place to gather and have tea or coffee just about 3 minutes up the road from me.

I guess by now you know I love to eat.
We like to stop in here and have tea or coffee and lots of other tasty drinks and pastries.
As you walk in the front door this is what you see.

My hubby was rushing me so my camera was a little on the slant side!
I apologize for the store looking like it's about to fall over, but I promise you it won't!

A nice sofa to sit and relax, look at a book or just drink your coffee!

Fresh homemade bake goods!

Today I had a Multigrain Muffin, packed with nuts and raisins!
Yum, went great with my Chai Tea.
Hubby had a Blueberry Muffin.

Have  a Blessed!

Wild Daisy

It was 74 degrees here yesterday!
This weekend it will be back in the 30's!

Oh well, we'll enjoy these pretty days
while we can. So my hubby and I decided
to have lunch at a new B&B that I just heard
about in the small country town just a few
miles away. If you are ever traveling through
Georgia a must place to eat is in the town of
Molena, at the Wild Daisy farm B&B .

As we walked inside we were met by the owner, Jenny, she sat us at a nearby table.
She also told us that we could go upstairs and look at the bedrooms.
First we ate, didn't take long for her to come with our food.

It was all so good! Tasty and made just right!
She told us they try to use as much fresh vegetables from their farm as they can.
I like that!
I had the apple pecan broccoli salad and the bacon three cheese quiche,

The beautiful room made it that much more
inviting!

So after eating I managed to make it up the staircase with my bad knees, but it wasn't too bad a climb.

At the top of those gorgeous stairs. I found these beautiful bedrooms, each one had it's own bathroom with a claw foot tub. Barn style doors covered the door to each bathroom.

The hallway was just as nice all dressed in something from the farm.
I felt like Joanna Gaines had just left!

After telling Jenny how much we enjoyed our lunch and the tour upstairs, we  left.
Out side Antique stores lined the sidewalk.
I have visited them many times so,
that will have wait for  another day to wander in them, and another chance to eat at the B&B!

I hope you enjoyed touring this delightful place
as I enjoyed eating there and seeing all the rooms and
antique furniture.
I had so many more photo's of the inside,
maybe you can visit sometimes and see for yourself!

Enjoy your day!

Tea with Friends

Good Morning, blogging friends!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend,
My weekend started out with Tea
with some friends I hadn't seen in a long
time.

Saturday some friends and I gathered at Jane's home ,
a co-worker and friend, that we worked with  years ago.
It was so much fun, for us to be able to see the others,
again after such a long time.

Jane and I decided it was time,
so we planned to have a small Tea and share memories.

Here we are at work, remember this is in the early 90's,
I'm on the right and she's in the middle.

Jane and I have been friends since 1992.
We've shared a lot of ups and downs in our lives.

I arrived early to see if I could help with getting the table ready,
of course she had everything under control.

The table was all set and ready, so she told me to sit for a moment,
she had written a poem and wanted to read it to me.

A Friendship Tea
"The cup of Tea I shard with you"
by Jane Setzer
February 4,2017

Today as I awaken the sun said to me,
Jane, wouldn't this be a lovely day to have
some friends for tea?
Yes, I smiled and answered, I truly do agree;
this would be the perfect day to share a cup
of tea.

Call up my friends and tell them that 'One' will be the time -
leave all your cares and worries behind,
just come and clear your mine.
I'll make some homemade goodies and they will be my best,
for everything must be just right for my
Special Guest!

Bring out the China dishes, put flowers all around
Oh this will be the Grandest Tea-
the talk of the  town!
Pretty cloth's on the table, lovely napkins for our laps.
We'll sip and laugh for hours, so much to talk about!
And when our party is over and my day is through-
I'll smile as I remember the cup of tea,
I shared with you!

~~

Even thought we didn't think of it as a Valentine Tea,
Jane had her home all decorated.

Each guest arrived and we met them at the door with hugs of joy!
Nikki on the left, then Sandy, myself and Jane!
Someone had to take the photo, so Jean isn't in this one.
So here she is at the table with Sandy and Jane! Jean our employer, and Pharmacist.

We enjoyed our Tea and all the food,
then we enjoyed looking at old photo's of 'back in the day'!

Now I didn't get on the floor, if I had I wouldn't have been able to get back up.

We had such a good time, that we decided to do it again in a few weeks with more friends from the pharmacy.

Trip to a Camellia Garden

Yesterday my hubby I am visited Massee Lane Gardens. It was a pretty sunny day!
It is located about 45 minutes south of us, we enjoyed the drive since it was such a pretty day.

Let me tell you a little about it, then I'll just let you look at the photo's of these beautiful and sweet smelling Camellia's.

The gardens are maintained by the American Camellia Society for the education and enjoyment of visitors and it's members.
The 10 acre garden features one of the finest camellia collections in the world. It began as a private garden in the 1930's. Massee Lane Garden has served as the headquarters of the American Camellia Society since 1968.

Now we didn't walk the whole 10 acre's, that would have taken us forever a long, long time as slow as we get around.

It didn't take us long till we had to rest on one of the many benches!

Yes, you can but them, too!

Don't know the name of this, but it sure did smell good. The whole Garden smelled so sweet, I went down the paths, sniffing!!

I think this yellow Camellia was my favorite, along with the pink one I put on first!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these beautiful and sweet smelling flowers. I wish you could 'scratch and smell'. Oh well maybe you'll take my word for it! This was only half of the photo's that I took!

THANKFUL THURSDAY

"Gratitude is our natural response to God's Grace" ...
Ciero

Every morning, give God thanks for the blessing of a new day!

For some, being thankful means simply living with a sense of gratitude-taking time to recognize and focus on the things we have, instead of the things we wish we had. The Bible takes the idea of thankfulness to a deeper level. The act of giving thanks causes us to recognize the ONE who provides our blessings.

Our Daily Bread

1st Chronicles 16:8
"Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done".

Being Thankful for my Blessings!

Until next time, Be Thankful and Blessed!
