Thoughts for Sunday

To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under
the heavens.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

In this season of our lives may we find joy
and happiness.  As the Autumn leaves turn
bright colors and God's beauty shines all around,
as seasons change from one to the next, may
these changes in nature remind us to make
changes in our own lives and attitudes .
Share our  joy and and blessings with others.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

Enjoy this fall day which we have been blessed with,
with a thankful Heart.

Have a Blessed and Joy filled Sunday!

Day Trip One of Many

I love taking road trips, just get in the car and go!
Where to ?
It doesn't matter, just drive!

That's what we did one day this week!

So ride we did, (4 hours) around and up and down! By fields and pastures!

WE have great mountainous views (some would call them hills, but I call them mountains) around where we live here in western part of  central Georgia.

Don't you love these clouds!!
It was a nice day to enjoy God's beautiful handiwork!

After riding for so long we did get hungry! We ended up in the town where we met, married, gave birth to and raised our girls for most of their younger lives. We stopped at the Bar B Que place where we took them when they were so young they would stand up in the back seat to see! (no seat belts back then)

By the looks of this sign, it hadn't changed since the '60 s!

Back then there were 'car hops' that would come to your car and take your order.

Today you have to go inside to eat or walk up to the window and order for yourself. I did go to  the window since we had our Chihuahua (fur baby) with us! We ate in the car and then traveled on.

We ordered what we got- those - so - many - years ago!
It's nice every now and then to revisit old memories!

Find joy in your day and be Blessed!

Baking with Morgan

I had a great time today baking with my Granddaughter,Morgan!
She had never made Lemon Curd from scratch, so I showed her
how and then we made scones!
Well after we made chocolate chip cookies!

In the oven went the cookies!

We made chicken salad for lunch, together!
I usually use red grapes but hubby bought green ones instead!

Her scones turned out good,  just a little  different sizes.

It's always good to bake with my grandchildren, can't wait till Christmas, we have a Cookie Baking day the week before, then all 6 of them spends the day and we bake and decorate cookies.

Here's a peek from last year, now where are the other 2?
Somewhere watching TV  I think!

Find joy in your day and have a Blessed One!

October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Our lives are so important to
ourselves and to all those that
Loves us!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month!
In honor of my mother, who had breast cancer, and passed away in 1980, I dedicate this post.  I love and miss her every day.

She was and still is an inspiration to me. She taught me to have faith and seek God! I am so blessed to have had a devoted christian lady for my mother!

So today I will have my tea on the patio with my pink cup that my daughter gave me for Christmas along with my teapot with pink flowers.

I love the color pink and the gold trim. It doesn't have a back stamp, just a 'flower and Japan'  on the bottom.
Don't you love the handle, so dainty!

Love my pink Swan that was a gift from one of my girls, some years ago!  The pink butterfly on top of the teapot is just right for the occasion.

One last banana nut muffin, too!

Have a Blessed Day, and remember to get your Mammogram!

Hodgepodge Birthday Tea Brunch!

Last Thursday was my daughter, Gina's birthday and Friday night her sister Debbie, had a slumber party for her and the girls. (I didn't slumber with them, I need my beauty sleep). They didn't go to bed unto 3 A.M. I did go for the Brunch the next morning.

When I arrived Debbie was setting the table with all kinds of goodies. I had made scones and homemade Lemon Curd, and I brought along extra tea since my two teenage granddaughters enjoy tea with me.

We had all kinds of good things to go with the scones.
Strawberries!

 Peaches!

 Brownies!

We even had the smell of Autumn from a candle!

We all enjoyed sitting around talking, laughing and having a good time, sipping
our tea and eating!

Have a Blessed Day!
