A 'PEACH' OF AN OUTING

I love those old towns that haven't changed in time! They touch my heart in some way that I can't seem to explain.
The old stores!

Here in this little and I do mean 'little' town of Musella, Ga. is an old 'Cotton Gin'.  It sits next to the Peach Packing shed that has some of the best Peaches in Georgia. We try to go every year and get peaches and ice cream.  My hubby and I met my daughter, and two grandchildren there yesterday, to have a day out.

See the old car on the left. Don't see many of those anymore!

Inside there is so much to see and do! Of course this is where they pack the peaches, today they weren't packing, guess they must be picking!

Don't they look delicious!
This is some that are For Sale.

Above the packing area and around the building are old furniture and things that were used long ago.
Love the old stove and coffee table.
The building is open air and the ceiling is full of ceiling fans.

Lot's of veggie's and other items for sale.

Oh, I can't forget to tell you about the Peach Ice Cream, it was so good!  Here's Anna with hers in a waffle cone. I got mine in a cup.

I hope you enjoyed our trip to the Peach Packing Shed!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

HELP FOR OUR BURDENS

Sondra at Shabby 2 Chic & Anything Between  posted on her blog "God will give you more than you can handle". I thought
"Hum, I always heard that God wouldn't give you more than you can bear"  After meditating on this for a while it came to me that with every burden He allows you to bear, He always gives you the way out. We can stay in our situation and be burdened down with it, or we can call out to Him, trust Him and give it into His capable hands.

Ecclesiastes 3:3
...a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up.

Matthew 11:28-30
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest."

As every care and burden is lifted up in prayer, they become easier to bear.

Each of us face trails and burdens each day, our understanding will be surpassed by God's love for us.

One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Psalm 143, it has comforted my heart and helped me along life's path.  In these days of stress and uncertainty, my faith has been increased by knowing that God is faithful and will guide me as I walk with Him.

Psalm 143:8
"Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning, for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way that I should walk;"

Each day is new and we experience new and wonderful blessings, let us be thankful and give God the praise and glory, for all things are of Him. Take comfort in His Love.

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY!

A Special Garden Tea!

Good morning, it's a lovely day after the rain yesterday. Welcome to my Garden Tea with some of my fury and feathered  friends.

The air is so fresh, clean and feeling good.

I have Biscotti, it's almond vanilla dipped in chocolate
and

 Grapes for us to enjoy.

They are always great to have at Tea Time.

Tea is ready, also.

The sky is so pretty and blue!

Oh here is our first guest, this little bird has made her home in my fern.

And here's Mr/Ms Hummingbird, a frequent visitor! I have some sweet nectar for her.

And of course, Milo and Madi is here. Still just a little cool for Madi.

The three silly
frogs, they always have a fun time!

In the summer I turn my chimaera  into a planter holder or in this case it holds the little frog birdbath.

Don't know what's so funny, they didn't tell me the joke!

Ms. Rabbit came at the last minute, she scampered in
over the morning glory.

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY,
and come again soon!

Staying on the Right Path

The believer's life is like a race with a path and a finish line. The end of it is eternity.  Each child of God has a personal route designed by the Lord. The goal is to stay on that path, but it can only be walked best by focusing on Jesus. He walked it first perfectly to show us the way.

Our path is full of obstacles that may trip us up or sidetrack us. Temptations lure us to what we may see as a better way, busyness can lead us down rabbit trails that only exhaust us. Worry and our emotions may take hold of our minds and take us places our Lord doesn't intend for us to go.

Anything that we may put first before our seeking the Lord and His guidance  may send us down the wrong path. Although our family, jobs and other things we are involved in my be necessary, it may distract us from our desire to follow God's path for us.

Our goal is not to focus on the path but to keep our eyes on our Lord, He is our guide, our light for our path that leads to Him. Inspiration from "In tough" magazine and the Bible

Have a Blessed Sunday!

I am a Keeper and Learning to Lean

No, I'm not talking about that kind of keeper!
Although he is a keeper.

Do you have trouble throwing away things!
I do!
Like boxes things come in. I believe that I
have every box of every cell phone I've ever had.

I recently cleaned out my closet and gave away
a couple trash bags of clothes, shoes, and handbags
of which some I've had for more years than I care to
say!  Why is it  that we humans want to hold onto "stuff".
Our lives can become so full of unimportant things that can
weight us down if we don't take inventory from time to time.

This is true in our spiritual lives also. In these last couple
months, I've had to clean out ' the closet of my mind and heart!'
There were old habits lurking there that I hadn't gotten rid of.
It takes far more insight than I normally have to understand this.

Those of you that read my blog regularly know the
circumstances my husband and I are in. While praying
for strength and guidance, my Lord is, while supplying these
needs, showing me much more that I need - discernment!
This is important for us to know the difference in error and truth,
what is good and what's best, what's God's Will  and what's mine.' Our heavenly father wants us to know these distinctions.

While I may think I am doing the right thing, I am learning
that I don't always make the best decisions concerning others.
Their needs may be different from mine or from what I am
trying to supply them. I am learning to listen to others that want
to give me sound advise, to serve with a thankful heart and attitude.
To be thankful for all I'm blessed with and to continue to strive
to listen to God's Spirit and allow Him to guide my life. Thus
cleaning out the closet of my heart and mind. Now I am far from
perfecting this, but with His help, I'll get there as I am learning to
lean on HIM!

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send ......shall teach you all things." John 14:26
